Happy Birthday @happytobemrsg, and great dungarees!

Loved all your going out outfits, wish I was, but I’m in the shielded group so I’m being quite careful.

Very windy here today - sweater has been on and off all day.

Sweater: Regatta
Shorts: Joules

Does anyone have any success with de-bobbling their clothes? Bought a Minky debobbler but it’s not really performing as I had hoped. Was hoping to give a new lease of life to some items.

Happy birthday to you @happytobemrsg ! Lovely dungarees.

I spent the day wandering around Covent Garden with a friend - pretty quiet and socially distanced. Jeans M&S, vest Next, shirt French Connection. Mask (not shown) from China.

@Lobsterquadrille2 Covent Garden is another of my favourite places, could wander all day!
@AnUnlikelyWorldofInvisibleShad I'm a 14 on a good day and upwards the rest of the time and these trousers are v comfortable. My friend is a similar size and raves about the joggers. There are curvy sizes as well but (I hope you don't mind me saying) you look like standard would be ok?

TheOnlyMrsW · 05/07/2020 19:15

@happytobemrsg hope you had a fab day

AnUnlikelyWorldofInvisibleShad · 05/07/2020 19:40

@TheOnlyMrsW yes a standard would be ok on me. I'm an 8 and I'm just a bit concerned that they'd be very big on me. I dont quite know how one pair of trousers can comfortably cover sizes 8-16 and yet I love the look of them. Im very tempted to try a pair.

Softpebbles · 05/07/2020 20:32

Happy Birthday @happytobemrsg.

Hope that you’ve had a lovely day 😊

Sickoffamilydrama · 05/07/2020 21:01

Going to be up early and driving to one of our sites to welcome the staff back from furlough tomorrow so got my outfit ready tonight.

I wanted to try bare legs but I have to wear laces ups I think it would have looked okay if I wasn't quite so pale 🤣

So I've gone with tights I'll be there at 7.30 for an hour then back home so it will still be cold and I'm wearing my pewter brogues and don't care if they don't quite work Wink

If anyone has any thoughts on summer work shoes that aren't ballerina flats I'd love to know.

I love brogues and think they are fine for summer - you could wear with some slightly cropped trousers then no need for tights?

You look lovely anyway, Kiev the outfit and love the brogues.

ememem84 · 05/07/2020 22:21

I love a brogue. Although don’t own any. But am putting on the list.

Clarks ages ago had some in a cherry red. Beautiful.

ItchySwissRoll · 06/07/2020 01:07

May I just say I've been lurking on these threads for months and really enjoy them. You are such a lovely bunch! I had an accident late last year and was incapacitated for months. You inspired me while I was recuperating and even though I was dressed in Pj's I still daydreamed and put outfits of my own together in collages on my phone Grin

You've been an absolute tonic, thank you.

Ellapaella · 06/07/2020 07:45

@ItchySwissRoll that's a lovely thing to say. I hope you are recovering/recovered well and welcome to the thread.

Softpebbles · 06/07/2020 07:52

I love brogues too! I had black patent ones but they died last year and I need to replace soon.

Welcome @ItchySwissRoll, although I feel a bit of a fraud saying welcome as I don’t post all that often myself.

OublietteBravo · 06/07/2020 08:10

Good morning everyone. I’m in office clothes today (but definitely not going anywhere further than my home office).

I started going through my wardrobes at the weekend. These trousers were firmly in the ‘maybe keep’ pile. So I thought I’d build a couple of outfits around them to help me decide one way or the other. I suspect they look better with heels, so I might try that tomorrow.

Shirt: Boden
Trousers: Hobbs
Trainers: Mint Velvet

Hi everyone, room for a little one? I’ve just discovered this thread and would love to join in, if only to give me a reason to get dressed each day!

I’ll try not to ramble too much; 2 DDs both under 5, moved to countryside from London last year and still adjusting. Mostly I’m finding it quite difficult to transition my wardrobe from dressing very casually and youthfully in my 20s to wanting to look more ‘put together’ in my 30s, with 4 years of mum-uniform jeans and a ratty tee-shirt every day in between! My style inspo is cliché as it gets, but I love the ‘carefree French girl’ look so that’s the broad aim Grin

I’ll stop there and post my first ever outfit pic now!

Cardi/cami twinset: Rouje
Cropped straight leg jeans: Topshop
Loafers: unknown TK Maxx find

Have a great day everyone, you all look fab Smile

Hi @SecondTimeCharm great outfit today.

I am wearing my favourite pair of dungarees with a lovely bold floral pattern over a double layer top from Bam. I seem to wear an awful lot of Bam tops.

Welcome to @sec

itssquidstella · 06/07/2020 10:05

Welcome to the newbies!

I had a lovely pair of brogues from Dune, which sadly died a death a couple of years ago. I really ought to get a new pair for this autumn.

Moonfacebiggins · 06/07/2020 11:07

Ooo I do love a brogue but struggle to find decent ones that are not leather. I do have some lovely brogue ankle boots though that I bought second hand. My daughter has just seen me and says I look 'a bit Amish'! Dress from Tu at Sainsbury's in the sale earlier in the year

Ellapaella · 06/07/2020 11:32

@SecondTimeCharm welcome! Lovely outfit. Can I be nosey and ask if you have used frenchic paint on your wardrobe? It looks lovely!

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 06/07/2020 11:33

@Moonfacebiggins more boho than Amish I'd say.. looks lovely.

OP posts:
Sickoffamilydrama · 06/07/2020 11:40

Like the dress @Moonfacebiggins not sure Amish maybe a little boohoo, gypsy, folk.

Glad there's so much brogue love, annoyingly because I'm hypermobile my feet really need support and if I wear anything that isn't supportive then I end up with joint pain. I can wear ballerina pumps indoors when I'm not going anywhere but that's it. It means summer work dressing is hard as skirts are often cooler but look weird in the summer with brogues.

So got home from my welcome back meeting and have changed so 2nd outfit for today.
Cardigan Sainsbury's
T shirt Rapuni
Jeans next

I haven't posted, but love following you all so wanted to say hello! I might get brave and join in. By the way, as much as I like seeing your outfits, I also love seeing all your homes in the background - I'm a nosey bugger Smile
