Jersey jogger/ next harem style comfy light trousers?

Therollockingrogue · 14/06/2020 20:22

Anyone had any joy in sourcing those jersey/ print easy wearing /comfy trousers this summer?
The type that could be bought from next in a billion colour / print combos a few summers ago?.
And not harem as in baggy between the legs, gangsta Aladdin vibes, but just nice loose trousers that are flatteringly loose enough on the thigh and perhaps a bit tapery at the ankle. Sometimes called joggers but they’re not really.
But not with an ankle cuff. That’s a step too far.
In the past I’ve picked up these trousers at matalan, peacocks, asda, next etc etc.
So generally places I can buy huge stacks of pairs, very cheaply. I wear them for work and travel (flights) , love them because they’re light and easy to pack and also because I can wear them under a long tunic type thing for travel in countries where more modest dress is required.
(So not cropped ones either).
Anyone any ideas?

I'd like something similar too!

QueenCT · 14/06/2020 20:59

These are really comfy. They do different colours if you put tapered trousers in the search bar

Sainsburys have some dark grey modal ones, really nice and just £16.

Therollockingrogue · 14/06/2020 21:05

Great suggestions Smile
Love the m&s ones

I'm living in the M&S ones working from home! They wash well too and I find they don't need ironing so win win Grin

Therollockingrogue · 14/06/2020 21:10

M&s ones are gorgeous and alas! Sold out in my size Sad

Sweaty Betty yoga pants!

Therollockingrogue · 14/06/2020 21:19

I fear I’m too curvaceous for sweaty Betty yoga pants at the mo . They would be more like leggings on my rubenesque thighs sadly!
Also a bit out of my price range , because I want to buy lots, 10 or so pairs maybe.

Second Bluewavescrashing. I bought them on your recommendation on another thread (i think). They are very good indeed!

StartingGrid · 14/06/2020 23:17

Next have them still, I bought one pair last year, bought another three this month, they're the most comfortable trousers a fat lass like me could ask for!

ErrolTheDragon · 14/06/2020 23:22

It's these isn't it?

I got a black and a navy pair last year, petite length (hurrah!) - as I work from home anyway they're my favourites when it's not warm enough for shorts or a skirt. I probably should get some more.

Nutmeg (Morrisons) have them. You can order online now too

AnyFucker · 14/06/2020 23:33

Hush do the definitive ones. They are £££ but worth every penny

Rollerbird · 15/06/2020 07:33

Uniqlo drape (various designs)
One example www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/women-drape-vine-print-straight-leg-trousers-427577.html?rrec=true

Therollockingrogue · 15/06/2020 07:51

Thanks everyone, gonna check these all out

Which Hush ones do you recommend @AnyFucker? I have the Amie joggers but looking for a new pair.

AnyFucker · 15/06/2020 14:01

I am talking about the Amie ones @Kazplus2

Therollockingrogue · 15/06/2020 14:25

Hush amie are nice but too pricey at £49, as I say I want to buy 10, maybe 15 pairs

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 15/06/2020 15:23

Why do you need so many ?

WellTidy · 15/06/2020 15:36

I have about four pairs of the M&S ones. They wash really well and don't need ironing. I get two days' wear out of them, easy.

Richlyfruited · 15/06/2020 15:41

I really want something like this too but everything seems sold out! The Amie joggers are out of stock in most sizes as are the Next ones

I've just returned the M&S ones linked above Sad didn't want to keep them even to wear around the house - too baggy on the hips and tight around the knees!

FrancesFlute · 15/06/2020 15:43

I got some from Matalan a few weeks ago as couldn't justify price of Hush Amie. Very light. I just got black but there were patterns. They are 'harem'.

Therollockingrogue · 15/06/2020 15:46

@anyfucker I travel frequently (obvs not so atm) in an area where water is a precious commodity, temps are high, and modest dress is required.
It’s easier to carry a stack of clean clothes than do frequent laundry.

Have you looked at Forgotten Tribes? Sorry I can't click link.
They have some good looking Harem Pants, although I don't speak from experience. I'm tempted to get them.
