Jersey jogger/ next harem style comfy light trousers?

Therollockingrogue · 14/06/2020 20:22

Anyone had any joy in sourcing those jersey/ print easy wearing /comfy trousers this summer?
The type that could be bought from next in a billion colour / print combos a few summers ago?.
And not harem as in baggy between the legs, gangsta Aladdin vibes, but just nice loose trousers that are flatteringly loose enough on the thigh and perhaps a bit tapery at the ankle. Sometimes called joggers but they’re not really.
But not with an ankle cuff. That’s a step too far.
In the past I’ve picked up these trousers at matalan, peacocks, asda, next etc etc.
So generally places I can buy huge stacks of pairs, very cheaply. I wear them for work and travel (flights) , love them because they’re light and easy to pack and also because I can wear them under a long tunic type thing for travel in countries where more modest dress is required.
(So not cropped ones either).
Anyone any ideas?

Fair enough

Alsohuman · 15/06/2020 16:21

@AnyFucker

Hush do the definitive ones. They are £££ but worth every penny
I disagree. I’ve got two pairs of Hush Amie joggers and two pairs of the Next ones linked above. The Next ones are better in every way except they don’t have an ankle zip. For a third of the price I can live with that.
Therollockingrogue · 15/06/2020 16:27

Yes they are the next ones, as linked by a previous poster. They’re lovely, flattering, and need no ironing or similar . But they are very sold out in my size often.

Tried the Ebay ones?

Todaywewilldobetter · 15/06/2020 17:28

I haven’t tried the eBay ones! They’re certainly well priced... will take a look Smile

I've a pair in grey marl that are really comfy. Quite thin and the seams aren't perfect (inside not out) but they do a job!
I had a pair that were M&S (actually fancy pyjama bottoms but don't tell anyone !) and I loved them! These are the nearest I've found that aren't ££££

Oly4 · 15/06/2020 17:44

These! Ignore the fact they are per una. They are extremely comfy. Mostly sold out online but my local store has dozens of pairs this morning

Thanks for the Nutmeg tip ladies, just had a look online and they have some lovely clothes!

Therollockingrogue · 15/06/2020 18:36

Nutmeg do have some lovely things! Bit of a revelation! Also love the per una ones

Another vote for the M&S ones here - I’ve got them in a navy/white pattern, black and navy and live in them. So much more comfy than jeans or similar in the summer. They had lots in the sale in my store last week.

Lockdownhairdontcare · 15/06/2020 22:40

I have the Sainsbury’s ones. Lovely but only until a few washes in Hmm

GazeboParty · 16/06/2020 06:30

M&S ones are rubbish - one wash and they looked like shit - really wished I’d been bothered to return them - I think they even promised stay new technology- not likely!

indigestionisabitch · 16/06/2020 06:53

Please could someone link to the sainsburys ones Smile

jackandflo · 16/06/2020 07:30

Can totally see the comfort factor in the v loose, elephant print ethnic types of harem pants but it’s not quite what I mean. (I know my harem description isn’t actually correct!) I’m seeking something definitely more like the next/ m&s / hush variety. Something that looks perhaps a little smart if worn with the right outfit. Heavy ish slinky smoothing jersey probably, and patterns that are muted or plain colours.

Was going to say Morrisons/nutmeg but I see I’ve been beaten to it. I’ve got a few pairs from them, they’re lovely and cool and comfy.

Flyinggeese · 17/06/2020 11:56

Really glad of this thread. I'd been looking at the next 'joggers' - am sure they used to be called 'harem' and was wonderign if they were the right ones.
