Hi.
Been pondering giving this a try, but I've read conflicting reviews.
Does anyone have any experience of it?
What do you think?
Thanks.
Ags.

I use it about every 2 weeks,i think it does make a difference, but if you leave it on too long it stings a bit, but i like it, worth trying
Skin doesn't actually peel though

limpingparrot · 22/05/2020 13:47

I really like it, I try to use it once a week.
I have pitted acne scars and I think makes a difference on these.
Don't leave it on too long and remember to use sunscreen.

JorisBonson · 22/05/2020 13:54

It got rid of my 30 year old chickenpox scars. I love it.

KensalGreen · 22/05/2020 13:55

I love it! Really makes a difference to my skin, so much smoother.

troppibambini · 22/05/2020 13:56

Yep I love it too.

agapanthus1979 · 22/05/2020 14:05

Sounds good! I'm edging closer to ordering it...

If you have sensitive skin, only use it for a few mins at first then build up to the 10 minutes on further uses

JMAngel1 · 22/05/2020 15:44

It's really good - I do 5 mins twice weekly - skin is like glass afterwards and even toned

Ohnonotnow · 22/05/2020 15:52

Yep, was petrified the first time and only left it on for a few minutes, I'm prone to reddening on my face but it was absolutely fine.
I leave it on for 10 minutes now, leaves my skin baby soft but I'm crap at remembering to use it

Idratherbeasleep · 22/05/2020 15:58

I use it twice a week and I love it, i have lots of acne scarring and it has improved it but not completely got rid of it. However it has stopped me getting the really deep painful spots I was plagued by! Also my skin just looks brighter and more radiant, love that its affordable too!

AwesomeSauce4 · 22/05/2020 16:12

I have used this 6 or 7 times over the past 3 weeks. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I must have the hide of a rhinos arse. No sizzle or even a slight tingle. Nothing!

Lottapianos · 22/05/2020 16:18

I use it about once a week, leaving on for 10 mins. It does make my dry skin look nice and glowy. It's a 'nice to have' product rather than something I would highly recommend. I would avoid if you are in any way sensitive or prone to breaking out, its really strong and stings quite a bit

TeddyIsaHe · 22/05/2020 16:19

It stung like buggery the first time I used it, so I worked up to 10 mins. Use it twice a week now and make sure you use a full spectrum high spf every day! I really like Biore watery essence.

agapanthus1979 · 22/05/2020 16:20

Thanks, everyone. I've ordered!

One other thing, don't put too much on your skin afterwards, just a nice moisturiser. I use HA and then borage seed oil or argan oil

Feedingthebirds1 · 22/05/2020 19:14

Ha! A couple of weeks ago I decided to use lockdown to up my skincare regime and try to be more consistent with my serums. I've used this peel for 10 minutes every day for two weeks, and there's no doubt it looks a bit smoother, but it's a long way off 'glass'. I apply it at night before bed, and in the morning wipe over my face with a microfibre flannel to remove anything it's loosened.

I don't recommend that as a plan for everyone! One day I'm going to trace my family tree and I'm sure I'll find an elephant or a rhino in there somewhere.

Greenvalleymama · 22/05/2020 20:57

I bloody love this stuff! My skin is so shiny and polished looking afterwards. I use it on the back of my hands too.
I use Biore watery essence SPF too, it has such a lovely texture and sits nicely under my make up.

JoeExoticsEyebrowRing · 22/05/2020 21:39

I don't really rate it I have to say. I use The Ordinary glycolic toner every other day and think I get better results from that.

bimbimbap · 22/05/2020 23:03

i have it on right now! i think it’s great, good for removing any flaky akin and feel really smooth after. hope you love it when yours arrives Smile

CatBatCat · 22/05/2020 23:04

I've only just started using it, 2/3 times so far. Feels a bit stingy and can feel a bit raw for an hour or so. Not really seeing a difference tbh so all it does it hurt. Can't see the point in carrying on using it.

wizzywig · 22/05/2020 23:04

If you have any cuts on your fingers it will really sting, great stuff though.

Bellebelle · 22/05/2020 23:11

I have it, used once and left it on too long (only 5 mins but was probably too long for first time). Didn’t sting at all when it was on but my skin was raw and sore for about a week afterwards.

I have been thinking of using it again now that I can’t get facials (was getting monthly alumier peels which are fab) but build it up.

How long has anyone had their bottle open for? I think it has a 12 month symbol on the packaging and it’s probably longer than that since I first used it. The lid has been screwed on tight and it’s been kept in the box but just wondering if it’ll still be okay?

emsyj37 · 22/05/2020 23:14

Triggered me off with perioral dermatitis that took me a year and a half to get rid of. Would never ever touch the stuff again. I've never had sensitive skin and I've used tons of harsh acne treatments over the years but this stuff just destroyed my skin.

agapanthus1979 · 23/05/2020 07:32

@emsyj37 hmmmm...that sort of thing worries me. After battling acne for my entire life, I don't want another skin issue to deal with.
Thank you for the cautionary tale!
