Hi.
Been pondering giving this a try, but I've read conflicting reviews.
Does anyone have any experience of it?
What do you think?
Thanks.

@brandnewhair it’s actually supposed to be £6.30. Don’t buy it on amazon because they sell fakes somethings.

TeddyIsaHe · 23/05/2020 08:18

Yes buy direct from DecieM, it wildly overpriced on Amazon and I wouldn’t buy an acid this strong from anywhere other than source.

Ohnonotnow · 23/05/2020 08:45

Definitely buy direct from Deciem and do a test patch first

bluefoxmug · 23/05/2020 08:54

how does it compare to the lactic acid peel?
I couldn't get the red one last time, songot the lactic acid one instead but haven't used it yet.

TeddyIsaHe · 23/05/2020 09:03

It’s much stronger than the lactic acid. I started with LA and I quite liked it (it smells hideous though!) it’s gentle enough to use 2/3 times a week. The red peel is like that on steroids! Depends how well You skin tolerates acids. Have you used any before?

bluefoxmug · 23/05/2020 09:07

I had the red one before.

JorisBonson · 23/05/2020 10:33

Beauty Bay is a good place to buy too.

user1482949820 · 23/05/2020 11:09

I can't really see much difference. Maybe I don't use it often enough but given how many people say they see a difference after every application, I'm wondering whether I'm not using it right (I apply it for ten minutes then wash it off in the shower). A high SPF is mandatory after using this, of course.

Livingthecovidaloca · 23/05/2020 11:24

I have used this in the past, and loved it. But not use retinol three times a week.
Does anyone who uses retinol also use this?

SorrelForbes · 23/05/2020 11:31

Yes, I use Retin-A (0.05%) most evenings and use this peel once a week. I used to use the strongest retinol from The Ordinary but moved on to Retin-A a while ago.

TeddyIsaHe · 23/05/2020 11:49

I use tretinoin 0.05% every 3 days and this peel once or twice a week depending on how congested my skin is.

BrandNewHair · 23/05/2020 11:52

@SorrelForbes I heard Retin A is the best thing to use for brightening the skin. How do the 2 compare

I've just ordered 4 products from DecieM so thanks for the advice girls

Livingthecovidaloca · 23/05/2020 12:47

I’m going to give it a crack this weekend then!

SorrelForbes · 23/05/2020 15:07

@BrandNewHair - If I had to choose I'd go for Retin-A (trentinion) as the results are just better overall for signs of ageing. The peel is great though for a boost and deep clean!

Fancyateapottea · 23/05/2020 20:38

For all those saying it didn’t work first time, it was only after the second time I noticed a difference and then after the third time it really worked and my skin went so smooth I couldn’t stop stroking it

TerrorWig · 23/05/2020 21:09

Boots also sell TO now which is handy for points and also cheaper delivery charges.

FartnissEverbeans · 23/05/2020 22:36

Is this the BHA/AHA one? If so, I love it. But - I use it every other day, not twice a week as it says on the label. My skin was so congested and rough before, and over the course of a few weeks it improved massively. If I skip an application I can feel the difference within a few days.

Greenvalleymama · 24/05/2020 10:22

Not sure if anyone has mentioned but always make sure your face is completely dry before using this, it stings like hell on a damp face and can cause damage to your skin.

bluefoxmug · 25/05/2020 19:18

I used the lactic acid peel last night. it felt fine during, no stinging at all.
but left my skin feeling really dry. despite putting on skin food after.
not the polished look and feel like after the red peel.

agapanthus1979 · 27/05/2020 12:44

Well, it's arrived! Juat doing a patch test and if everything seems ok I'll give it a go tomorrow night.
Thanks again for all your responses.
