Do you have hair on your inner thighs?

I do and I have to shave it in a certain direction but it gets sore. Is it classed as excessive body hair?

Yes of course I do. Some people it will be thicker hair? Some finer. It's normal.

NameChange84 · 20/05/2020 19:22

I have two weird hairs that look like extra pubes half way down my thigh which I have to tweeze every month or so but apart from that no, I never have to shave my inner thighs. And I’m mixed race and generally quite hairy Blush.

PickUpAPickUpAPenguin · 20/05/2020 19:24

I'm 42 and it's started growing there in the last year.

Ginfordinner · 20/05/2020 19:29

Yes, but shaving doesn't make it sore, and it shouldn't. What kind of razor are you using?

ILikeSardines · 20/05/2020 19:29

Of course.

I'm blonde and we are very hairy but you can't see it so much as it's fine and with my skin colour it's not as noticeable.

I've had fine hair all over since always. Except palms of hands! Hairy fingers hairy toes hair on my inner arm to an inch of so before my hand starts.

It's just how I am, and is normal. I do shave my legs in summer and pits all year. Never had any comments or anything!

Everyone is different :)

Elouera · 20/05/2020 19:30

I'm pale with dark hair, but don't think I'm overly hairy. I only ever shave my legs 3/4 level. Any thigh hairs are fine, fairly light and only noticeable really close up.

Are the hairs as thick and dark as pubes, or like lower legs hairs? If you didn't remove them, would it look like they'd escaped from your underwear? Do you have irregular periods or excessive hair elsewhere? have you ever had your hormones checked? Have you considered IPL or laser therapy to remove it permanently?

A friend has PCOS and when not shaved, her inner thighs looked just like pubes!

Thighdentitycrisis · 20/05/2020 19:30

Oh another joy of the menopause, they aren't pubes though; they're long, fine and dark.

I pluck them and then zap with the Lumea

Ultrasoft · 20/05/2020 19:31

Yes, despite 30 years of waxing!

ElectricTonight · 20/05/2020 19:31

No I don't.

LockdownLove · 20/05/2020 19:34

I have no leg hair above my shins.
Have never had to shave my thighs.
We are all different and everything is normal.

OwlBasket · 20/05/2020 19:49

We all have hair (however fine or corse, dark or light) everywhere except our palms a foot soles. Some people like to claim they don’t but we are all monkeys.

A lot of corse hair on the inner thighs might be indicative of an hormonal imbalance.

DramaAlpaca · 20/05/2020 19:52

No. I've never had to shave/wax/epilate above my knees.

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead · 20/05/2020 19:55

No, never had hair on inner thighs

ouch321 · 20/05/2020 19:56

Yes, it's disgusting...
They're pubic hairs that go over the boundary.

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead · 20/05/2020 19:56

Not even fine hair Confused

IDefinitelyHaveFriends · 20/05/2020 19:56

Yes: I’m a mammal. Do you mean you have rogue pubes? Or problematically long/dark hairs?

megletthesecond · 20/05/2020 19:57

Yes. Got them as a teen and decades of waxing hasn't zapped them.

megletthesecond · 20/05/2020 19:58

I've been tested for PCOS but all ok. Just very hairy.

Lily193 · 20/05/2020 20:16

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead I'm with you but I have hardly any body hair and it's become even less as I've got older. There are literally huge bald patches on both my lower legs. My mum was exactly the same.

Yes. Worse since menopause. I pluck them.

BrieAndChilli · 20/05/2020 20:23

Me, I’m the hairiest person I’ve ever met.
I have dark thick long hair on my toes and top of my feet, hairy legs - all the way up, very hairy tummy and lower back, hairy arms, moustache and beard and cheek hair.

GatoFofo · 20/05/2020 20:23

Yes, thick hair all over and round my thighs, I have to have them waxed, mine are caused by PCOS.

Hoolajerry · 20/05/2020 20:24

I do and actually I don't think it is normal. If I grew my legs hairs out I would look like a man. I am considering the gp as I have facial hair too now which would grow to a beard if I didn't get rid daily. It makes me really sad and is a constant battle for me.

TwatCat · 20/05/2020 20:24

Very fine, but I don't need to shave it, you can't see it.
