Should I buy this zipped hoodie?

I keep looking at this AllSaints hoodie

www.johnlewis.com/allsaints-jessi-biker-hoodie/smoke-grey/p4919256

It's more than I'd usually spend. I've never bought from AllSaints before, so not sure of the sizing. Did a bit of research, which suggested sizing can be a quite random. I'd need to order direct as JL is out of medium. I love the shade of grey and like that it's not sporty.

Any thoughts?!

Oh I love it! Just sad that All Saints think that a L is a 14😬😬

ZaraW · 25/04/2020 12:59

I prefer the Sidola.

bobbletrouble · 25/04/2020 13:04

The sidolha is nice too, but I'm looking for a zipped one. And I think the Jessi would be a more flattering shade of grey on me. Mainly concerned about the fit / sizing. I have a long body and short arms, so I don't think I'm AllSaints' key demographic Grin

If you have the money to spend then go for it but personally I think that is hugely overpriced even in the sale! Would never spend more than £40 max on a hoodie. But that’s just me...!

zenasfuck · 25/04/2020 13:08

90 quid for something that looks like a primark one that got faded and shrunk in the wash 😳
I think you'd find much nicer for less money

Sooverthemill · 25/04/2020 13:32

I really like it. If you can afford it why not treat yourself? But they have this one in their outlet

MamaCoco123 · 25/04/2020 13:35

@sooverthemill why are that models arms so long!? 😂

bobbletrouble · 25/04/2020 14:00

Thanks @sooverthemill. Sadly khaki isn't a great colour on me.

I am tempted by the one I linked to... but I do think it's overpriced. I'd usually spend no more than £50 / £60 on any sort of sweatshirt thing.

Branleuse · 25/04/2020 14:02

Its nice but it aint £90 worth of nice.
Id pay £30 max for that hoodie

Terralee · 25/04/2020 14:05

It's ok but £89 is a lot of money for something with no label maybe?
I spent just under £50 on my Superdry hoody, the logo isn't plastered on it either but it is visible.
On a hoody with no label I would never spend more than £25.
I think it depends on whether the money is a lot to you or not & whether it's going to be good quality.
I mean my Superdry hoody never shrinks in the wash but neither does my Gap outlet hoody which was only £19?

Puppylucky · 25/04/2020 15:33

Ooh thanks to the PP who called out the outlet section. I couldn't find the hoody that was linked but picked up a very nice casual jacket - cheers!

MiniChoc · 25/04/2020 20:36

I'm sorry but that looks like a Primarni offering.

squishedgrapes · 25/04/2020 21:30

I have an AllSaints hoodie I've had for three years and it still looks like new. I like it and would get the ivory version.

Mammyloveswine · 25/04/2020 21:55

I think it's awful!!! Sorry op!

bobbletrouble · 25/04/2020 22:07

I've held off buying it. I'm surprised it's elicited such strong reactions in some posters though. It's just a slightly stylised grey hoodie!

OP posts:
OxanaVorontsova · 25/04/2020 22:08

not at that price, no

cattaxi · 25/04/2020 22:14

Everything I’ve had from all saints has lasted really well. I like it @bobbletrouble. If you can afford it, go for it. It looks like it could be a wardrobe staple for years to come.

cattaxi · 25/04/2020 22:14

Or wait for the sale!

cupcakehurricane101 · 25/04/2020 22:16

What? Even the sale price is outrageous? What's it made of?
Probably the same stuff as in Primark, just different label.
My first thought was it looks like something from Primark 🤷
Nobody will say 'Oh wow love you're hoodie!'
Is this a joke post?
Unless you're loaded then that's like a week's food shop on one thing.

TooMinty · 25/04/2020 22:23

It's nice and I love All Saints clothes but I think you could get similar from H&M. I think their dresses and knitwear are more worth splashing out on

BunnytheHoneyBee · 25/04/2020 22:24

If you like it and think you’ll wear it

bobbletrouble · 25/04/2020 22:39

I was posting because I've never ordered from AllSaints before, and I was unsure about the sizing and quality. I agree it's expensive for what it is, but it's all relative and I'm lucky to be able to pay £90 for a hoodie if I like it enough.

OP posts:
bobbletrouble · 25/04/2020 22:42

Thanks @toominty - that's useful advice re what's worth spending money on - as I said, not bought from AllSaints before.

OP posts:
Slat3 · 25/04/2020 22:42

100+ people looking at it?!
No, I wouldn’t but it’s your money. I absolutely would not spend £90 on a hoody

TooMinty · 25/04/2020 22:51

I have a jumper dress that was £180 but I wear it loads for work and it washes well so £ per wear is good. Also a cardigan that just hangs really well. But I looked at similar hoodies then went for a H&M one instead - £20 instead of £100 and I love it.
