Just wondering if anyone uses tinted moisturiser all the time and not foundation and what the difference is,

Another vote for the Laura Mercier one here- very pale, freckles, - have used it daily for years and not found one I prefer. I also sometimes use the LM radiance primer for a bit more ‘glow’ but haven’t in lock down.

Thank you Mynameisjune - I wanted to try the Nars after all the recommendations on here but didn't know my shade. The colour match thing is helpful - let see if it works.

I wear foundation for work, but on casual days or weekends I often wear tinted moisturiser. It's quicker to apply as it's sheer so more forgiving, and good for days when I just want a touch of coverage to look healthy.

I really like the Chanel tinted moisturiser as it lasts well on my oily skin and looks very natural. I have tried quite a lot of brands and this one is the best for me.

I also use the Clinique CC cream .I hardly ever use foundation now .As with others i find foundation too cakes and ageing.

If you’ve got pretty good skin I don’t know why you’d bother with a foundation in the daytime. Unless of course you’re doing the whole heavy make up which seems very popular with my younger relatives. ( for their pouty selfies)

I use the Garnier BB cream.
I've also use the Aldi one which I liked.

I have always found a tinted moisturiser to be more flattering that foundation, just a hint of colour and it makes me look a bit more polished. I swear by Boots No 7 City Light

This is the link to the No 7 product

@Coffeepot72 Thank you so much for that Smile

citygirl1961 · 24/04/2020 18:50

@Coffeepot72 I am often tempted by the No7 one, I used to use the old version and they changed it and the reviews haven't been as good. Do you use it all the time instead of foundation or is it just for day time?

I use it all the time. I always find foundation too heavy, but the No 7 product is really lightweight, I can’t feel it when it’s on, and it gives just a hint of colour/coverage. I discovered it last October and I’m hooked!

Can anyone recommend a tinted moisturiser for older skin? (I'm 52) but I also have enlarged pores on my nose and chin, and they are both prone to redness. So I need a bit of coverage.

ExpletiveDelighted · 24/04/2020 19:40

I'm a similar age and use Laura Mercier missy, no enlarged pores but I do sometimes have a bit of redness, I use the LM Secret Camouflage concealer on the red areas.

citygirl1961 · 24/04/2020 20:08

@Coffeepot72 do you use a moisturiser or sunscreen under it or do you use it on its own.

No7 do some light foundations too, they don't need to be heavy now.

I use Bliss tinted moisturiser. I think it's called Tinstant or some such bad pun.

I love it because I have freckles which get plastered over by foundation, it feels very light (so light I never feel it) and I look slightly tanned when I'm wearing it. Not orange glow tanned, but the healthy look you get when you take a long walk outdoors every day.

wildflowersandweeds · 03/05/2020 21:34

Took the plunge and ordered the NARS one- good guess from womanthatfelltoearth on the colour- I followed dazzlinghaze's findation recommendation and it said the same.

Tried it this even for a zoom meeting that turns out isn't until tomorrow (who knew it was Sunday?) and absolutely love it!
