I’ve just coloured my roots and am very pleased with the results. Normally I get them done every 5 weeks at my salon but now I think I’ll wait a bit longer and do them at home in between appointments.

Oh this post is perfect timing for me, I have one of these but was nervous about using it when it said to just use it along your usual parting, is that what you did or did you try to use it more all over your head?

I did usual parting, around my hairline, then about inch sections all around the front. I forgot to lift my fringe up and do that bit of the hair line but it still looks fine.
I’ve since watched a YouTube video of how to do the whole head so will do these next time.

Looks great - I used the same but dark blonde and it is out of stock everywhere - even when it looks like you can buy online, it is out of stock at the checkout. Feel like I shouldn't try Tesco or Sainsburys just for hair dye. Out of stock at Asda, Boots & Superdrug & Amazon (where I have it as a subscribe & save but they say they cannot get it) and various online chemists.

PilatesPeach I put one in my Amazon basket even though it was out of stock and then checked every few days. After about a week it came back in stock so you may get lucky if you do that.

Has anyone attempted similar with highlighted blonde hair though? I think even I could do one-colour brown hair, but I'm very nervous about trying to fix the highlights that currently have an inch of dark brown root coming through...!

I wouldn’t attempt it. Have you tried changing your parting or having a messy parting to hide it a bit?

thanks Lippy1234 but the dark blonde is not even coming up now - I only know it is out of stock as it says that in my subscribe & save items - I think they will send it to me when it becomes available but it has been saying that now for about 3 weeks. I haven't reached desperation yet but will do within a couple of weeks

Looks brill lippy 😀 i did mine last week but guess what it didnt even work, think it was a little old and already mixed as found it in bathroom cabinet upstairs and thought okay so lets give this a go. Plum coloured but didnt even change my hair colour, which is 3/4 dark brown and a quarter grey (mostly on top and in my fringe). Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Aargh my hair 😂

Willows76 Maybe you could try again? I googled colour charts before buying the colour on Amazon. I don’t have much grey but my real colour is a duller version of what I have now.
