I think John Lewis will be fine.

Wonder if Primark will survive though, especially with no online store.

If John Lewis dies, I think I might.

I haven’t shopped there or M&S since they changed their policy to make changing rooms mixed sex.

Retailers with contempt for their customers don’t deserve to survive.

I think most big stores like Bluewater get a rent break as they are a destination shop. Also a lot of the concessions are sale or return.

There's talk in retail that some of their stores won't reopen unfortunately.

I read they had a new Chief Exec so a par down of underperforming stores would be a quick and dirty way to re-boot.

Tbh I was surprised earlier in the year that they had 20% off all home furnishings, including curtains. I've never known JL do that before. I saved £100 on my bedroom curtains!

In fact, they are doing another 20% off home right now!

Service there is shocking these days.

I thought John Lewis were shutting some stores and expanding online instead?

I always hoped they'd come to Dublin. They did have plans to come. They had s few opportunities but they didnt grab them at the time. The company that owns Selfridges did though.
They could take the now sadly closed Debenhams in Henry Street.

Love John Lewis and Waitrose. Really hoping the new JL in Edinburgh isn’t delayed by too long. I still shop their regularly as get it delivered to Waitrose.
