Will we see any royals out and about anytime soon?

I didn't seriously mean she was copying Meghan @alliwantisagoodnightssleep!

Sorry Queen!

mathanxiety · 03/05/2020 22:23

It's Tallulah Goldsmith surely?

allibaby · 04/05/2020 07:30

I didn't seriously mean she was copying Meghan.

Oh I think we all know that is exactly what you meant!

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/05/2020 08:24

In the absence of any current royal fashion, here's a look at Diana's best casual looks. Some of it has definitely come around again!

Diana looked gorgeous in the one shoulder pink dress.
I think the leopard print "swimdress" might be a sarong over a swimming costume.
In photo 12 she has a different ring to her usual engagement ring. It looks like it matches her earrings so might have been part of a set.

BlingLoving · 04/05/2020 09:19

I love Tabitha Webb's prints but it's generally a bit pricey. And the high necks on many is a concern fo me. I must see where they'er stocked so I can try on in person post Coronavirus. I didn't know Pippa was friends with them.

LadyEloise · 04/05/2020 10:22

I love Picture10 QueenoftheAndals ( thank you for the link ) Diana with William - she looks so young.
Some are stunning.
Hard to believe she died at the age Harry is now.

I really disliked her hairstyle in pictures 23,24 and 25.
I know she changed hairdressers at one stage. Who is responsible for the one I dislike, does anyone know ?

thisenglishlife · 04/05/2020 10:52

Like this look, can imagine Kate in this kind of blouse. Also, Diana's legs are so long!!

Pretty blouse - Diana looks very slender there.

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/05/2020 11:12

My favourite Diana hairstyle was the one she had towards the end of her life as it was much sleeker and chicer than the 80s big hair. I think she was a bit of a trailblazer for short hair too.

@LadyEloise I think her hairdresser was Sam McKnight but I'm not sure at what stage. My hairdresser knows him but alas I have no Diana gossip!

I thought that too @mrscampbellblackagain. The photo was taken in 1983 so maybe that was when she had bulimia?

Continuing the DD (Diana Diversion!), I found an article from a few years back with an interview with Diana's chef. Looks like she was an advocate of clean eating and low carbing before it became trendy!

I find the last paragraph quite sad though. It sounds a rather lonely life.

I agree about the last paragraph, Queen. Rather poignant really. Dodi must have seemed to offer fun and excitement that summer. Almost like catching up on the teenage holiday romances she possibly never had before. I think she was only 19 or 20 when she got engaged to Charles.

thisenglishlife · 04/05/2020 12:24

Oh, I bought the Kate clutch @Ninkanink as it was 25% off, free delivery and £10 cashback.

I do love her Cartier watch.

I love the color of that clutch. I need a taupe handbag for spring, although considering this spring I'm only leaving the house to walk the dog, probably not until spring of 2021.

LadyEloise · 04/05/2020 20:59

I don't think that nude/ blush colour she is wearing suits Kate in that photo thisenglishlife

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/05/2020 22:57

Maxima on Remembrance Day. It's a bit... dramatic.

justasking111 · 04/05/2020 23:07

Diana casual or formal just looked fabulous almost always.

mrscampbellblackagain · 05/05/2020 06:37

Very pretty clutch, I am a bit of a handbag person and have way too many clutches.

Am missing using them at the moment.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/05/2020 09:45

I have a similar clutch in pale green (think it's Alberta Ferretti) that was a birthday present but I've never actually used it as it's really hard to open. But on the whole, I prefer shoulder bags to clutches as I like having both hands free!

OP posts:
CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 05/05/2020 09:52

I always have to have a bag, I use a walking stick so need at least one free hand for the all important drink.

RatherBeRiding · 05/05/2020 10:18

Love the pics of the Dutch Remembrance Day, held without an audience. So poignant. And Max really carries off that look! On anyone else it would be a tad OTT but she looks amazing.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/05/2020 10:43

@RatherBeRiding I had to laugh at one comment on the blog which said she looked like Zorro! I thought she looked like she'd stepped off the set of a Victorian drama where a mysterious widow moves to a new town and sets tongues wagging.
