Handbag of the day! (Yes, my husband does think I'm insane for swapping bags just to have it sat on the kitchen island!!)

Stylishmummy I forgot to say I really like your bag! I love that understated elegant aesthetic of the more functional Hermes pieces. I like the Evelyne a lot, someday I want to have it in tan.

chocolatesaltyballs same with the Anthony. It’s just a perfect good clean straightforward bag, which still looks so well made and sets the wearer apart. I like that very functional style a lot these days, and it suits my lifestyle so well. But I’m always tempted by other bags before I have the chance to get one! 🙄

Today’s bag: Mulberry Abbey small bucket bag in Coral Rose. I love the peachy colour with a hint of salmon, it’s perfect for spring and summer. I also like the contrasting red on trim/strap/lining which adds some interest. It’s also not too big, which is nice.

This colour goes beautifully with the typical summer colours I wear - white, black (for evenings), corals, denim blue, khaki, etc.

Ooh I used to have an Abbey in Oak but I had to sell it because I couldn't find a damn thing at the bottom of it - drove me nuts! Didn't know they ever did it in that colour.

Yes that can be an issue...I’ve solved it by Kondoing my ‘essential’ handbag items, and having various pouches or bags for different sets of things - it’s easier to get your hands on what you’re looking for that way.

Today’s bag:

Mulberry small New Bayswater in Oxblood. I love this colour for winter! This is a workhorse bag, I use it a lot in winter, so it’s pretty battered by now - and gained a couple of new scratches last time I was at the Aldi tills and leaned over to grab things for the bag. I try to be relaxed about minor damage though, as I don’t want to have to baby my day-to-day bags too much.

This is my favourite thing to wear her with - a wool poncho from Batbour. Jeans and basic shirt underneath, pair of Chelsea boots or similar = very easy, put together look. I need to get a wool fedora for next winter...maybe in the sales.

Sigh. *Barbour.

Oxblood really is a very versatile colour if one wants a neutral but wants a change from the ubiquitous black or tan, especially in the winter months - it goes well with so many colours.

My favourite scarf purchases this winter! One from AllSaints snagged new and unused for a great price on eBay, and a pre-loved Burberry.

@SpeckledyHen I love the heritage Bayswater, especially in the natural oak. ❤️ I still want to get one, one of these days.

Not the best picture as I'm useless but here is one of my favourites. My Mulberry Bayswater backpack. I absolutely love wearing it but don't get cause to use it often.

Right now I'm pretending I'm on a weekend city break with DH somewhere lovely and we're browsing boutiques and stopping somewhere for some lunch and champagne...

Love the Bayswater backpack as well, that has been on my wish list for a long time but have never got one.

My Boldrini Selleria Opera bag handmade in Italy.

The quality is just as good maybe even better than my more expensive designer bags.

Today I’m using grey jaeger leather mock lizard which DC bought me for my birthday 2 years ago

Today’s bag:

Mulberry Mitzy east west hobo.

The first Mulberry I bought. ❤️ I love this bag for summer days out, to wear with denim and dresses. She’s a little on the big side for me, these days, so I don’t use her all that much. But I very much appreciate her chilled out cool vibe, when I do. I like the contrasting handle and strap which means it ties in nicely to tan/chocolate sandals or booties.

@Impatientwino I love your backpack. The colour is perfect, and that gorgeous grain on the leather!

A Cara Delevingne quilted backpack is another Mulberry that’s been on my list for ages...

@ZaraW I love yours too! I love the beauty of that sculptural aesthetic. It’s on my list to get someday, although I flit back and forth between the Opera and the Operetta...it’s very hard to choose between them!
