I used to get up at 5.30am and left my clothes out the night before. Got dressed in the dark in the morning. Got to work on day with navy trousers and a black top on. I was horrified and the receptionist had dressed the same. We got complimented!

I can’t actually see a reason why not and have a lovely navy satin dress with a black lace overlay . BUT I hear my long dead grandmother in my head every time I put it on. Never wear navy with black, never wear gold and silver together, never wear diamonds with pearls. In my personal circumstances, that last one is the easiest to achieve!
