Exactly that. Need some help please! Want to be able to wear them with jeans, dresses etc.

I like converse but I'm a little out of touch I'm the first to admit! Thanks

I’m 52 and decided to get a pair of white trainers after seeing a Dominique Sachse YouTube video about how to style “white sneaks”. The ones she used were Adidas originals (black stripes) so I was considering them but really wanted Veja Esplars with a black V. I had a 15% off voucher at White Company that I was going to use but they were out of my size, so in the end I went with Adidas Superstars from The Office with a snake/croc stripe.

If I do say so myself - damn, I look good! My DCs were shocked at how cool I was and didn’t even accuse me of trying too hard! My smartass DS15 said “you do realise you can’t go running in these, right?” but otherwise they are impressed and that’s good enough for me.

(Now I just have to find a way to get the blood spots off the back where they rubbed my heels raw...)

I'm 39 and I wear white leather converse (much comfort than the canvas) I also have air force 1's and a pair of Adidas gazelles. Although like others have found when I wear my air forces I match the local teens Grin so I tend to stick to my converse

If you have wide feet abd/or need support then Fitflop trainers are great

I love my Stan Smiths. Sooo comfy. I also like Veja but don't actually own a pair. Just saw these on John Lewis and really like the basket weave detail. Gives me Bottega Veneta vibes with the weave.

I don’t like sporty trainers, too ‘chunky’ for me. I have white Lacoste trainers. They’re quite flat and very plain, just the croc logo on side.

I love my superstars

I’m just sending my sleeks back - I don’t have particularly wide feet but they were making my toes numb they were so tight.

WitchesGlove · 11/03/2020 11:52

Have you tried some of the Puma ones?

Mumofmillie13 · 11/03/2020 17:25

I opted for the m&s white leather trainers with blue trim in the end..will let you know how I get on.

GreyHare · 11/03/2020 18:16

Adidas Superstars are amazing comfy, I have then with a black stripe and some with holo stripes.

IndecentFeminist · 11/03/2020 19:01

Yes, I have white with silver stripes and a black/leopard print pair.

Can’t decide if I like these fitflops or not, have developed plantar fasciitis and am desperate for some comfy footwear. Otherwise I’ll stick to my leather supergas.

i'm not sure about the fitflop ones, sorry, i had black ones years ago and honestly never thought they were all that, but the others are gorgeous

mommybunny · 12/03/2020 21:16

I had plantar fasciitis a couple of years ago and the only shoes I could wear were my FitFlops. Ugly as sin but in less than two weeks it was gone.

peachypetite · 25/06/2020 09:15

Has anyone bought any recently?

TimeWastingButFun · 25/06/2020 09:18

I have white Skechers
