Exactly that. Need some help please! Want to be able to wear them with jeans, dresses etc.

I like converse but I'm a little out of touch I'm the first to admit! Thanks

Reebok Classics in plain white, or they do a style with textured white details too.

LilyJade · 03/03/2020 09:59

Well I've just ordered the Nike Air Force 1s White with red tick.
The red is a dark red so should go with most of my clothes.

The teens I see seem to wear Fila or Vans or just a selection of sporty trainers (I live near a large leisure centre).
I did see one young girl wearing the Air Force 1s with a pale blue tick & cropped jeans recently, they looked nice & I would've liked blue but I couldn't find them online so I decided on dark red.

LilyJade · 03/03/2020 10:00

I also have a pair of Adidas Superstars in White with gold stripes.

KaliforniaDreamz · 03/03/2020 14:39

my air force ones are black with vintage floral bit on
v cute but so stiff and uncomfortable that i realise now why they were in the sale

yeah the young'uns are wearing really chunky ones like the fila ones

KaliforniaDreamz · 03/03/2020 14:41

fascinated i haven't tried the sleek ones so can't advise but they're v nice.

LadyMadderRose · 03/03/2020 16:25

I've just ordered some of these (in ecru though not bright white) - they look nice, in the same vein as superga and converse but a bit chunkier.

Mumofmillie13 · 03/03/2020 17:34

I'm nearly 40.. are the m&s trainers comfy to wear? I need to replace my old cheapie ones and while I wait for my adidas or similar to come through I need a basic white pair for those non brand days

ElspethFlashman · 03/03/2020 17:38

I have a couple of pairs of Stan Smith's and find them so comfy (and surprisingly warm in the cooler months) that I wouldn't buy anything else now.

But the M&S and the River Island ones are super popular at the cheaper end so would definitely try them otherwise.

KaliforniaDreamz · 03/03/2020 20:46

Lady i love a gum sole!
I found Superga too heavy. Did anyone else think that? I am v fussy about comfort.

I think leather is the way forward, hence Stan Smiths being comfortable in all weathers.

Aderyn19 · 03/03/2020 21:15

My 19 year old ds has a pair of all white Air Force ones. I told him when he bought them that he was gonna look like all the other mums on the school run 😁

twosoups1972 · 03/03/2020 22:01

If you’re not fussy about branding, look at Mint Velvet. I’ve got some white trainers from there.

Temporaryanonymity · 03/03/2020 22:08

Our house is full of Air Force 1s, worn by me and my 13 year old son. I have a red pair with gold trimmings and a very pale pink colour. I fancy a white pair for the summer.

PhantomErik · 03/03/2020 22:15

I have a pair of white Superga's & I'm 39 Grin

I know they're not strictly 'trainers' but you mentioned converse & in my opinion these are similar style but so much more comfortable.

I also put mine through the wash fairly regularly & they are still in great condition. This summer will be their 3rd year.

TigerDroveAgain · 03/03/2020 22:18

You put shoes in your washing machine? Every days a school day for me!

TimeForPlentyIn2020 · 03/03/2020 22:33

Ecco

dannydyerismydad · 04/03/2020 07:45

Love converse once they are broken in, but the pain and shredded feet to get to that stage. Never again.

I much prefer Adidas for comfort straight out the box. Loving my cream suede Sambas.

boredboredboredboredbored · 04/03/2020 07:47

I'm 43 and wear Stan Smiths. I also occasionally wear a pair of Vejas esplair. Converse I just can't do as they pinch my toes, I don't find the Veja ones all that comfy either and usually come back to the Stan Smiths.

TrickyKid · 04/03/2020 07:49

Nike internationalist are my favorites.

Member · 04/03/2020 07:59

Reebok classics or Puma Carina

PhantomErik · 04/03/2020 17:07

Tiger I put them on a 30 minute (40 degrees) cycle.

I put them in a slightly padded mesh bag & then they go in the airing cupboard over night.

They come out looking great Smile

Mumofmillie13 · 05/03/2020 18:58

Flamingle18 · 10/03/2020 17:34

Adidas continental 80s. Last ages and very comfy!

cheekymajeeka · 10/03/2020 18:10

I’m 43 and wear the white converse plus I have a lovely pair of pink suede nike airforce 1’s. They’re soo comfy I’m thinking of getting the cream colour too. I also wear Grey Nike 270’s a lot.

Runneryogi · 10/03/2020 18:14

I like Veja

henryscatoscar · 10/03/2020 18:20

Dunlop green flash (if you like green too of course, more of a pub shoe)
