Need your opinions please ladies. If you were going out for drinks with a group on a Saturday night and wanted to impress someone in the group but without an over the top obvious outfit which of these would you go for? All would be worn with a black leather jacket to keep things more casual. Please ignore nails etc as they will be done later along with hair and make up and jewellery too.
Thanks!

Are you somewhere hot?

Veterinari · 22/02/2020 12:37

Not keen on either, but 1 is less frumpy

Riddlediddle · 22/02/2020 12:38

Oh that didn't upload. Outfit two...

Outfit 1 is nicer and more flattering.

Riddlediddle · 22/02/2020 12:39

Oh won't let me upload for some reason

Oh really. Maybe something different altogether then?

I prefer the second one. Although I don't think the sandals are right for the time of year - unless you are somewhere hot.

Knewyou · 22/02/2020 12:44

Number 1 with the jacket.

Howmanysleepsnow · 22/02/2020 12:45

Outfit one is better (less frumpy, suits you better). Both do look like casual summer clothes though. Are you going somewhere casual? Are you in the UK or elsewhere?

PastramiAndRye · 22/02/2020 12:45

1 looks a bit like PJs and no2 isn't very seasonal...you have an amazing figure though!

Any other options?

Cuddling57 · 22/02/2020 12:48

No 1 is better. No 2 is great for a summer night out!
Also whichever one makes you feel more comfortable will also make you look better!

Riddlediddle · 22/02/2020 12:48

Back to the drawing board then! I'm not really a casual person I always like to dress up so this is why I'm struggling with the casual drinks brief I think....

Cuddling57 · 22/02/2020 12:49

I didn't mean comfortable - I meant confidant! Whichever one makes you feel more confident! Obvs!

Gigia · 22/02/2020 12:50

Tbh I am not keen on either but outfit one is better

jackstini · 22/02/2020 12:51

Are you in one place (car to bar) or walking around a few

That would decide footwear for me but usually nice boots in this weather if you are in UK

PastramiAndRye · 22/02/2020 12:52

What would you normally wear? Can you post a pic of that?

Riddlediddle · 22/02/2020 12:53

We are in one bar all night. To be honest I'm a dress kinda girl but this group all wear jeans or trousers. I can't wear jeans they don't suit me at all (short legs and big hips) so that's I've gone for the more wide leg trouser

What about a midi dress with tights and pair of heeled boots?

goldenorbspider · 22/02/2020 13:00

I like the polka dot pants but would wear a sheer top with the vest top

Riddlediddle · 22/02/2020 13:01

Midi dresses do not flatter me at all. I have short legs so they cut at the wrong place on my legs

When you say impress someone -do you mean a man, or other women in the group?

I don't think either outfit is seasonally appropriate or the right sort of vibe really both look more like something one would wear on holiday during the daytime.

You have a great figure OP, there is a cut of jeans for everyone- have you tried a straight leg cut or something like Topshop editor jeans or slim mom jeans generally. I can't imagine them looking bad, the wide leg trousers swamp you a bit! Really easy way to look current and easy to dress up with heels and a top.

If you normally wear dresses though and feel good in them maybe just go for a dress?

Riddlediddle · 22/02/2020 13:20

I don't mean romantically impress I mean just to feel like I fit in with a group that are much cooler than I am. I've had a rough year health wise and my confidence has taken a massive battering as a result. I guess that's why I posted on here as i just don't trust my own opinions anymore
