Need your opinions please ladies. If you were going out for drinks with a group on a Saturday night and wanted to impress someone in the group but without an over the top obvious outfit which of these would you go for? All would be worn with a black leather jacket to keep things more casual. Please ignore nails etc as they will be done later along with hair and make up and jewellery too.
Thanks!

I think you look LOVELY in outfit 1. I don't like 2. With a leather jacket and all your bits tarted up Wink youll look fabulous. Great figure btw

PastramiAndRye · 22/02/2020 13:23

I'd go for a dress too with the leather jacket!

Definitely number 1

cakeandchampagne · 22/02/2020 13:30

Another vote for one of your dresses & your leather jacket.

And they are not “much cooler” than you!

colourbynumbers · 22/02/2020 13:32

Why are you even going out with people you feel the need to impress to make accept you?

Stop dressing for other people. Be yourself and wear what you like and feel comfortable in.

Your confidence will never improve if you're constantly trying to win the approval of others.

tiredandemosh1 · 22/02/2020 13:40

I love outfit 1, where are the pants from??Smile

Arsenicinthesugarbowl · 22/02/2020 13:44

I’d go for outfit 1 out of the 2 but I’m much more of a trainers rather than heels gal myself!
Have confidence in yourself-and don’t be fooled by the cool group persona. They’ll all have hang ups and anxieties too! Enjoy yourself and wear what you like. If dresses are your thing then wear a dress.

allthesharks · 22/02/2020 13:45

Number 1 looks more casual and I think it would work better with the jacket.

Sooverthemill · 22/02/2020 13:45

I love both outfits but worry you will be cold! The trousers of no 1 could go with another top maybe? I'm always cold in a bar or restaurant so I do tend to layer and can always take off something if I get hot. I'm sure you know you don't actually need to impress other people but I do understand the need to fit in and to look your best especially after a crap year health wise ( I've had cancer for example, and took a while to be back to 'me')

Tell us what you choose and have a great night

SallyWD · 22/02/2020 13:45

Outfit 1 is flattering. You have a lovely figure.

peppermint4 · 22/02/2020 13:52

I think both outfits looks very flattering on you and as pp have said, you have a great figure!

I'm 5ft3 (all torso very short legs) and wear high waist straight cut jeans as they're much more flattering on me. I also wear flowy midi dresses with a belt at the waist and heeled boots and this help elongates me too.

What style dresses do you normally wear?

Riddlediddle · 22/02/2020 13:53

@tiredandemosh1 Primark £8 Smile

Prefer 1 is a jumpsuit or separate as I might change the top.

However I am not sure you are hitting the right vibe if everyone else is going to be in jeans. Do you have other footwear?

Lucked · 22/02/2020 14:04

Also is it at all possible that you are over critical of your figure? it looks brilliant at all angles I can’t imagine jeans or a midi dress looking bad.

IdleLiz · 22/02/2020 14:06

No.1 is so flattering.

No.2 a bit mumsy.

thinkfast · 22/02/2020 14:08

You look great in outfit 1

Grembolina · 22/02/2020 14:12

I like outfit 1 but think you should dress whatever way you usually would. These people like you for you, not because you can be like them.

Happygirl79 · 22/02/2020 14:14

Is the second one a jumpsuit? In my opinion they often look great from the front and side but often have saggy bum syndrome from the back so check that in the mirror
I like the first one anyway
You have a lovely figure so don't worry too much

Riddlediddle · 22/02/2020 14:17

A more suitabke 'winter ' option but this just feels a bit too casual????

You look amazing in both! So much for 'can't wear jeans!' Where is everything from?

peachypetite · 22/02/2020 14:31

They do look very summery. Agree with the pp about wearing what you like and not changing who you are.

sanmiguel · 22/02/2020 14:31

Defo last 2 outfits. You look great in the jeans!
