Work blouses- The Split

Rosehipbubbles · 15/02/2020 08:25

I love a good work outfit and with broad shoulders my go to look is blouses. Loving the S2 clothes but my Twitter searching is proving fruitless as to where the clothes are from. I expect they are all £££ but would love to know as I'm getting the twitch to buy some new ones.

I love this programme but the clothes are way out of my league ha ha. Plus it obviously doesnt represent real life as who wants to watch that?! Loved everything Nina wore plus her hair. I would really love Hannah's house though 😭😭😭

MarshaBradyo · 16/02/2020 19:49

Great outfits, yes probably some Roland Mouret in there.

I find the main female characters borderline too annoying but still I’m enjoying it.

MadamePewter · 16/02/2020 19:56

I really wish I could do a work blouse but my boobs are too big.. always gapage

I had this issue too until I discovered the aforementioned* "flowy shirts" from Mango.

*legal innit

MadamePewter · 16/02/2020 22:34

Ooh.. @StCharlotte, off to google ...

Northernsoullover · 16/02/2020 22:35

I love these shirts. I've decided to treat myself when I get a proper job after I graduate www.claudioluglishirts.com/claudio-lugli-womenswear-collection-c3/shirts-c5

I'm a family lawyer too dealing with high net worth clients, we all love their outfits in my office (if not their attention to the actual law) although it concerns me that clients may have overly high expectations of glamour off the back of this programme!

StCharlotte · 17/02/2020 08:53

Working floors are usually less glam!

Ain't that the truth! A friend came to our offices to do his will and was saying how swish our offices are. My office is like a Victorian garrett and the senior partner's wallpaper is held on with drawing pins!

I note Esprit is doing well in its shirt-offering. Worth considering if you can't stretch to Mouret Wink

@nowlook agreed - love this one www.esprit.co.uk/p/blouses-woven-109EE1F016.html#cgid=1239

beanaseireann · 17/02/2020 13:51

nowlook Thank you for the Esprit link.
Some lovely blouses/ shirts available on the website.
Northersoullover I didnt like the shirts on your link, sorry. I thought the collars looked odd.

Rosehipbubbles · 17/02/2020 17:21

See I've got some esprit blouses recently but they have washed or worn well. They are thin viscose and have gone a bit rag like - was happy initially then disappointed.

Thanks for that heads up Rosehipbubbles

Eesha · 17/02/2020 22:36

Not relevant but I like the younger sister's style, those high waisted jeans. I love the Split. Nicola Walker is excellent in it.

GinandGingerBeer · 17/02/2020 23:03

I am also loving the clothes (but finding the story with Hannah a bit ridiculous......Christie throwing tantrums like a toddler kicking bins and punching things.... err really? ConfusedHmm)
Nina's coat sent me searching the Internet........ found it.... Burberry £895 Sad Oh god I love it. It's OOS everywhere fortunately as I absolutely can't afford it.
But I want it.
Nooner got one they're just bored of now they've seen it on telly? Grin

GinandGingerBeer · 17/02/2020 23:05

Tut ffs. Nooner = Anyone
No one is going to give me one now that I've called you all nooners.

BrassicaBabe · 18/02/2020 08:43

Don't need it. Got nowhere to wear it. Can't afford it. But love this Grin

Waaaaay back in the early 80s when I was 19 going on 40 (stylewise), in my first job which was for a solicitor I had the most gorgeous baby blue pussy bow blouse. I was clearly ahead of my time Grin

Rosehipbubbles · 18/02/2020 21:19

I do live a pussybow - I've got two on the go at the moment!

I want to know about Donna Airs warbrobe. Fi Hanson had a couple of beautiful coats, a pale one in her first scene and a colbalt blue one. I need to know where they are from.

JMAngel1 · 21/02/2020 08:03

I know! I was lusting after her cream tailored coat too.

PeterPomegranate · 21/02/2020 08:09

“When I'm looking for new stuff, I cheat by starting with The Dressing Room, St Albans, website. Again, never ordered from there, not from the area, but they win industry awards for their curated collections.”

How interesting. Sister in law asked for a voucher from there for Xmas. I’d never heard of it.

nowlook · 21/02/2020 08:21

@PeterPomegranate I originally saw them on the Drapers Independent Fashion Awards. I might kill a few minutes looking through this year's winners!

I don't think Hannah's Mum had a big wardrobe budget. She wore those awful blue trousers in nearly every scene.

ellsbellls · 21/02/2020 08:50

Does anyone know where Rose's high waisted jeans are from? I've looked everywhere I can think of!
