Can we agree that liquid lipsticks are generally shit

I've never found one I like they're either horribly drying or so gloopy they end up all over your face.
In spite of this knowledge why do I keep buying them?

Clarins do one that is actually very good. Comes in a tube with a screw cap and a sponge applicator.

I quite like the lipfinity. I have it in a pinkish colour. I don't keep it matte though as it ages me . I put the balm on then later a but of pink vaseline (the pot one).

Most of the newer matte lipsticks are in shades of deep brown which are fine for darker skinned ladies but not my shade at all!

Another vote for maybeline here too. I feel dressed once I put it on.

The Maybelline ones are amazing, stay put all day and are really easy to apply. However, the colours are all quite cool... They definitely dry cooler in tone than when you first apply them and so I haven't found the perfect colour for me, yet. Lover is quite good but a bit blue/littly girly. The reds are good, but I like a nice brown-pink for every day.

I've just bought a new Revlon one in a warmer browny plum which they don't seem to offer in Maybelline.

I have a dior one in their 999 red shade. Wand is lovely, easy to wear, matt but not dry. Very vibrant red though! Lasts and lasts.

Disagree i love the primark ones and my lips are disgusting and it covers them ans makes them ok.

I just browsed the Maybelline at the super market, I couldn't get a good look though as the sales girl (I'm in Asia) was all over me. Why can't they just leave me alone??? 😩

The only one I've ever liked is a Lip Envy one that I got for £2 in Debenhams sale.

@Eesha just look out for fakes, so much fake makeup on there I've given up with it.

Every matte lipstick I've ever tried has felt horrible, I feel like I need to scrape it off my lips within 5 minutes, and the liquid ones feel worst, and they seem to shrivel up my lips and give me wrinkly granny lips. I stick with normal lipstick and gloss. I've got a lovely semi-sheer Burberry one that I am a bit obsessed with at the moment.
