Can we agree that liquid lipsticks are generally shit

I've never found one I like they're either horribly drying or so gloopy they end up all over your face.
In spite of this knowledge why do I keep buying them?

Whilst I am tempted to investigate this mabelline one you are all recommending I still think I'm going to stick with my original opinion

My favourite ones were the ones New Look used to sell, they were magic, they lasted ages and didn't dry my lips out. Wish they still did them.

I agree ... I think they are awful ... can't beat a normal Charlotte Tilbury lipstick .. and I've tried loads!!!

I use the Maybelline "Lover" No.15 which isn't too lary. I'm fair skinned. My niece with Med colouring uses the same colour and it suits us both.

Yabu I love them. The Maybeline long lasting ones are fab. They take a bit of practice but the wand has a fab shape for getting the curve of your lip.

I've discovered Essence long lasting lip liner
Colour in the whole lip then put some of their gloss over the top
Better than some high end brands!

I love the lancome shakers, they last the whole day but are quite drying.

I dont know, when you have thin lips they have their uses. I would never do a dark lipstick but if i put on a touch of red from a liquid it looks wearable!!

I used to love the boujois ones, now I quite like the L'Oréal rouge signature it I know what you mean op, they can be annoying, flaky, drying, messy to apply....

They do last, and I don't mind how they feel, but as soon as I eat or drink something like a latte they wear of the middle part of my lips and leave the outside. I'd rather a regular lipstick that wears off evenly .

I think it is very difficult to tell the colour from the packaging -
even on the wand is misleading
you really need to put some of the product onto a tissue

I like this one for work - Maybelline Super Stay 24 Colour No. 185 Rose Dust.

I find Rimmel Provocolips amazing . Not a huge range of colours but apply colour first wait a minute and then use other end to apply balm . 24 hours and not drying at all .

which maybelline are you all recommending? Is it the 24hr lip wand thing?

I tried my first liquid lipstick in December and its been a bit of a revelation not having to reapply after every drink.

The rimmel ones someone else mentioned further up are also good but harder to apply than the Maybeline ones.

Maybeline had a 3 for 2 offer in boots recently so I stocked up and branched out with 2 new shades
