Truly long lasting lipsticks?

I am currently using a No7 lipstick that calims to last all day - the reality is it lasts about 2 hours, less if you are eating or drinking.

Are there any lipsticks out there that REALLY DO last????

I have loads of lipsticks my longest lasting is an Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte lipstick which I infrequently wear on nights out and it can last through meals and drinks but it is drier than the Sahara and I could not wear it every day without wrecking my lips. All long lasting lipsticks dry out my lips so I prefer moisturising ones and reapplying.

Tips to help. Good old lipcote actually works but might change the look of the lipstick and you have to remove it before reapplying.

If you have a lip pencil in a similar shade cover your lips with this under your lipstick this is very useful if you are wearing a bold shade and you are worried about it wearing off unevenly.

I'm ok with dry so long as it has staying power! I've tried using lip liner - it still doesn't last more than a couple of hours unless it is a very bold colour which is fine for evenings out but not the daytime look I'm going for.

Sorry for the massive link but I’ve found this good. It’s a lip liner but it’s clear - it goes on a bit waxy so I find lipstick lasts longer.

The best I've tried is the Barry M colouring changing lipstick. It fades but there's some colour left by the end of the day.
Saw an old friend a few months ago and noticed her lipstick was staying put. She said it wasn't the lipstick, it was the preparation of the lips.

My Mac Ruby Woo was very long lasting. Retro mat formula.

I was going to post the same as Buster, the only lipstick I have which lasts many hours is from the Mac Retro Matte range.

I remember when I first got it, I went to a friend's wedding, all the girls on my table were so amazed by the end of the evening that my lipstick was still in tact, they asked where it was from. 💄😁

Maybelline Superstay Matte. Lasts all day and then some but is very drying.
Like a pp I find the longest lasting ones are very drying.

Kevyn Aucoin Molten Lip - it is amazing! And not drying. Classy colours too.

Maybelline Superstay Matte does stay on, but I found it wore off on parts of my lips.

Lip liner all over lips, matte lipstick, blot, powder, then lipstick will last quite a long time especially in a darkish colour.

Apply base colour, let try, then apply moisturising top coat.

It lasts through anything - guzzling corn on the cob covered in butter, even dental treatment.

Only thing is, you need a special remover to get it off

I've tried a few and bought a Kylie lip kit from the US and it lasts all day even after eating and drinking (but not if you eat greasy food like salad with a dressing).
Just make sure you apply lip balm before applying it and wipe off any dry skin beforehand to prep your lips.
Bit annoying they're not sold over here but they are good and the colours are great.

What about a liquid lipstick? I like the jeffree star ones but I've good things about ofra as well.

I find lip stains are good then you can just apply a clear balm/gloss over the top for moisture. Benetint is a good one, or Lancôme do some in a range of colours.

Maybelline SuperStay matte ink is my go-to. You really do need to let it set awhile before drinking or eating though.
