I walk miles everyday. I have high maintenance old lady feet. I wish I could wear converse or something else that I could choose just on the basis of how they look but alas that ship has sailed. Please tell me about your insanely wonderful trainers (especially if they are not eye bleedingly ugly).

Nike Airmax 90....

Maybe not your cup of tea though

ThatLibraryMiss · 12/02/2020 01:37

Skechers are fabulously comfortable, come in regular, relaxed and wide fitting and are great for walking as long as it's pavements and paths, not really rough ground.

latheritup · 12/02/2020 01:42

Yeezy's! Love them

AzraiL · 12/02/2020 02:03

Asics GT 2000 6, black with a white sole. My last pair were also Asics and they lasted years. They have built-in orthotic soles and it feels like walking on clouds.

Airbirds! Comfiest shoes I've ever worn.

slinkysaluki · 12/02/2020 08:36

Stan Smiths x

redwoodmazza · 12/02/2020 08:42

Clarks Trigenics.

PurpleDaisies · 12/02/2020 08:47

Asics roadhawk ff 2.

I’ve got black with a white sole. Amazingly comfy.

Kazzyhoward · 12/02/2020 08:49

Another vote for Sketchers - ideal for walking on flat ground like pavements and flat gravel paths.

overnightangel · 12/02/2020 08:51

Keep Running
Cheap and comfy

bubblesforlife · 12/02/2020 08:55

Black puma with a white sole.
Bought recently. They are like walking on clouds.

WellTidy · 12/02/2020 08:59

I have sketchers. I have awful bunions and these are the only shoes I have which don't leave them aching. I didn't even have to buy the wide fit. Only thing is that they are fabric, so I often get wet toes from the flick back if the ground is wet.

BlackCatSleeping · 12/02/2020 09:01

I have Sketchers, but I don’t find them hard wearing for lots of walking. I love my ASICS though. I think they are a better buy for you.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 12/02/2020 09:03

Sketchers memory foam. I have atypically facial pain and a couple of years ago when it was extremely bad they saved me a lot of pain when walking on concrete, like having shock absorbers. Also they look nice and are very comfortable. Check sizes though, my feet are 5.5 and I fitted size 4 in sketchers.

kelper · 12/02/2020 09:04

Following as I need new trainers!
@latheritup this will make my son ridiculously happy, I told him when our feet are the same size he can have expensive trainers so when he grows out of them in 30 seconds I can wear them, and he's always wanted some Yeezys!
He's a shoe size away from me now......

BestIsWest · 12/02/2020 09:05

ASICS Cumulus 21. I have bloody plantar fasciitis and they have more support than Skechers. I blame the Skechers for causing the problem.

latheritup · 12/02/2020 09:06

@kelper I've worn them since 2017 and looove them! Hopefully his feet won't grow much more lol!

LolaSmiles · 12/02/2020 09:09

Sketchers go walk memory foam shoes are comfy.
If you wanted to go the other way to something minimalist then Nike Free RNs are good.
Sometimes I find too much cushioning is an issue

kelper · 12/02/2020 09:46

Sadly @latheritup he's only 12 and a size 7 already, I'm planning a second mortgage for his teenage years 😭 😱

Itsashame · 12/02/2020 14:53

I have some Stan smiths but I have no idea why anyone would say they’re the comfiest trainers. They’re fine, but not so much arch support and the soles are v hard. They’re certainly not a springy running trainer at all and that’s what I think of when
I think of a comfy trainer

Fluffy40 · 12/02/2020 14:56

I have under armours, very comfy

kitk · 12/02/2020 15:19

Skechers with memory foam!

Bezalelle · 12/02/2020 15:36

There's a Chinese brand of trainers originally designed for martial art called Feiyue. So comfy! You can get them on eBay for about 12 quid. I have three pairs and wear them constantly.

FthisS · 12/02/2020 15:38

Blue velvet pepe jeans trainers I absolutely adore them and they go with anything (well I think so).

MoreTeaPenguin · 12/02/2020 16:10

I go through trainers really fast, they just fall apart after a couple of months because I do plenty of walking, cycling and gym. My favourite pair are my asics gel zaraca - they've lasted brilliantly, and are so comfortable! www.sportsdirect.com/asics-gel-zaraca-5-ladies-running-shoes-279098#colcode=27909891
