Please recommend a tubing mascara.

I am completely fed up with my mascara leaving black smudges and flakes under my eyes. I recently read about Tubing mascaras and they seem to be what I'm looking for.
Can anyone recommend a particular make?
I wear contact lenses and have sensitive eyes.
My eyelashes are ridiculously short but I have quite a lot of them. I like my lashes to be dark and generally apply 3 coats for volume.
Any suggestions? Thanks

I use Bobbi brown intensifying long wear one, do not use the Bobbi brown no smudge as it does in fact smudge! I also use clinique lash power, which I like because it comes in dark brown which is kinder and a little more natural

clinique lash power - can't go wrong. I'm a contact lens wearer also.

FuckingHateRats · 08/02/2020 16:55

I used to use No7 Stay Perfect. I had to use a tubing mascara because I always ends up with panda eyes... I've recently switched to Clinique High Impact and had no issues.

BentNeckLady · 08/02/2020 16:58

What on Earth is a tubing mascara?

SilverLake · 08/02/2020 16:59

i was using blinkbrowbar mascara which is tubing but it only comes in black. i loved it for not smudging but it was the first tubing mascara i'd ever used so i didn't have anything to compare it against. it did make my lashes very stiff whilst wearing it. i've now moved to a brown/black tubing one by clinique called lash power - same as other posters and my lashes aren't as stiff and still completely smudge proof.

L'Oréal beauty tubes, double ended red coloured tube. I don't tend to use the white lash extension end. I've tried all the more expensive ones, including Trish McEvoy £££, and come back to this as it's good, cheap &easy to get hold of.

I think benefit they’re real

I don’t have this problem and I wear non waterproof mascaras

ningaj · 08/02/2020 17:10

Maybelline Lash Sensational. Literally the only one I can use without getting dark smudges under my eyes!

Colourmylife1 · 08/02/2020 17:56

I have used No. 7 Stay Perfect (£), Clinique Lash Power (££) and Trish McEvoy (£££). None of them give much oomph but all stay put all day. On balance I think I would rebuy the No. 7.

SisterAgathaVanHelsing · 08/02/2020 17:59

Yes, what are these things?

OverByYer · 08/02/2020 18:02

Definitely Boots no7 Stay Perfect. Doesn’t budge

MapMySleighRide · 08/02/2020 18:05

www.cosmopolitan.com/style-beauty/beauty/g28691358/tubing-mascara/

Had no idea so I googled!

Destinesia · 08/02/2020 18:16

Clinique High Impact Curling is a tubing mascara and gives more volume than Clinique Lash Power (also a tubing mascara). I prefer the brush on the Lash Power though. I repeat buy both.

Note - The High Impact (non-curling version) isn't a tubing mascara.

I'm not convinced that Benefit They're Real, or L'oreal Lash Sensational are tubing mascaras.

Comedyusername · 08/02/2020 19:35

I used to use the Clinique one and then discovered the No 7 one. I couldn't really tell the difference so stick to No 7 as it's cheaper. I don't think I'll ever use non-tubing mascaras again. No panda eyes and easy to remove.

LettyFisher · 08/02/2020 19:38

I can only use Clinique Lash Power.

foxychox · 08/02/2020 19:52

Another one for Clinique lash power! I seem to have very greasy eyelids but the lash power stays on really well.

MrsMcnulty20 · 08/02/2020 19:59

Another one for Clinique lash power. First time in my life that I don’t get smudges under my eyes!

SpeckledyHen · 08/02/2020 20:48

Clinique lash power

YouStupidBoy · 08/02/2020 21:24

Clinique Lash Power is great; Blinc too.

noodlezoodle · 08/02/2020 21:48

I use the Blinc one and it's very good but like all mascaras it gets dry and a bit think around the three month mark so I resent paying that much for it!

I also really like the Benefit They're Real but it isn't a tubing mascara.

noodlezoodle · 08/02/2020 21:48

Ugh - bit THICK not bit think.

AwkwardPaws27 · 08/02/2020 21:52

I accidentally bought the No.7 one and really struggled with it; I have ridiculously watery eyes and so it kept coming off during the day. I also managed to blink a bit of the "tube" under a contact lens which was not pleasant.

AwkwardPaws27 · 08/02/2020 21:52

I get on much better with Benefit They're Real

ExpletiveDelighted · 08/02/2020 21:57

It puzzles me that more of them don't specify that they are tubing ones on the packaging, I've bought three different ones without realising so far (I chop and change a lot). I find they make my lashes look spidery and they are really hard to get off but they certainly don't smudge.

definitelyshouldknowbetter · 08/02/2020 22:46

Lash power here too, any other mascara and I get awful transfer under my eyes, I really don’t need any help with the darknessGrin
