Is the Chanel bronzer worth the money?

I've saved up £100 worth of advantage card points over a few years and I'm hoping to buy something I wouldn't normally spend money on. I've read great things about the Chanel bronzer so was intending on getting this today however not I'm wondering if it's worth the ££££. Anyone got it and love it?
I don't really need anything else. I've got loads of perfume at Christmas.

Ooh I would like to know this too. I'm fair skinned with freckles and have heard great things about this bronzer but have never splurged on this. I now find myself in the same position as you with some Boots vouchers to spend so this is a good idea. (no mention of the fact that the boots vouchers could well go towards my next purchase of Double Serum when the current one runs out). Need shiny new things 🤩

MorrisZapp · 05/02/2020 11:15

My SIL swears by it

trumpisaflump · 05/02/2020 13:31

I've just bought this and it's bloody lovely!

I just spotted that there's 15% off premium beauty in Boots atm so I am going to get it tomorrow. Thanks for enabling my purchase trump 👍🏻

justilou1 · 05/02/2020 14:14

I am fair-medium and it doesn’t even show up on me at all. I suggest you try it out and look at it in natural light. I wish I had bought the Huda one. (Or even the bloody Soap and Glory one, tbh!)

trumpisaflump · 05/02/2020 15:59

Too late @justilou1 Smile I'm liking it so far but I bought it with Boots points so haven't shelled out the cash for it.

Is this the gel one? What do you think of it?

SinglePringle · 05/02/2020 16:02

I use it every day. Every single day.

SinglePringle · 05/02/2020 16:03

(And I’m medium to olive with yellow undertones)

stakeholderwizz · 05/02/2020 16:03

Can someone link please? I'm fair and in the market and was going to go hourglass but could be swayed by Chanel

BaronessBomburst · 05/02/2020 16:05

What does one do with bronzer?

Baluga · 05/02/2020 16:06

Think it is this one, usually £40, down to £36

justilou1 · 05/02/2020 16:43

Yes, the giant tub of bronzing gel that’s almost as big as my face. I’m pretty golden toned also (that’s code for sallow). Maybe I’m doing it wrong.

lenalove · 05/02/2020 16:53

I'm very fair and it just looks muddy on me sniff

WhatchaMaCalllit · 05/02/2020 17:07

Did a quick read and found that this is supposed to be a good dupe for it.

Best thing I’ve ever brought... a lovely product

PickleMyPepper · 06/02/2020 22:30

I love it. Honestly.

Buffed into moisturiser on 'no makeup' days to look glowing and healthy (excellent for hot days and when abroad.),

A light layer as a base under foundation to add a glow to your skin,

Using it as contour,

Using it for body makeup,

The uses for it are endless, I'm on my 14th pot.

trumpisaflump · 06/02/2020 22:36

@PickleMyPepper oh I'll try it tomorrow without make up. I keep looking at my face in the mirror as I can't believe how lovely this bronzer is Blush

PickleMyPepper · 06/02/2020 22:39

It's beautiful.

Put some moisturiser on, the use a buffing brush and buff the product into your moisturiser before it dries.

The glow it gives is incredible. Natural but healthy.

I've used it like that on nights I've had 0 sleep, or when I've been feeling like death and always get the 'you look well' 'you're skin looks amazing' comments.

Let us know how you get on!

Ladybirdbookworm · 07/02/2020 01:12

I'm on my fourth tub. I love it.
I decided to try something less expensive and it was a total false economy.
I wear it everyday and it usually lasts me about a year.

Totally agree with everything said by PP it's great in the summer on its own and in the Winter gives a nice glow on top of foundation.
I was about to buy the Trinny London bronzer in a tiny pot and then realised that the Chanel one is definitely better value.
Hope you love it too.

dontdoironing · 07/02/2020 01:44

Trying this! Im looking haggard with small baby sleeplessness.

Some brilliant makeup is just what i need!

stakeholderwizz · 07/02/2020 09:52

Does it work on fair souls?

PickleMyPepper · 07/02/2020 10:42

A light coating is good for those who're fair. I'm one of them, but have always got fake tan on so find that a medium application is good for me.

It's very buildable and a little goes a long way, so start with a small amount and you'll be good!

Baluga · 07/02/2020 11:38

You’re all a bad influence (or a good one!) I’ve just bought some, can’t wait to try it.

PickleMyPepper · 07/02/2020 12:17

Baluga it'll change your life
