Is the Chanel bronzer worth the money?

I've saved up £100 worth of advantage card points over a few years and I'm hoping to buy something I wouldn't normally spend money on. I've read great things about the Chanel bronzer so was intending on getting this today however not I'm wondering if it's worth the ££££. Anyone got it and love it?
I don't really need anything else. I've got loads of perfume at Christmas.

Do you put it all over your face? I thought bronzer went on your cheekbones Blush

dunnyplop · 07/02/2020 12:44

I'm fair skinned with freckles & I love it. It's really natural & most people don't even think I wear it.

dunnyplop · 07/02/2020 12:46

I would also recommend Nars & Guerlain

PickleMyPepper · 07/02/2020 13:16

@poodlepoo9999 Because it's a cream consistency it can go all over the face to add a glow too, although it can be used on the cheekbones and forehead as a bronzer as well.

It's multifunctional.

I'm fair/neutral and it's too orange for me. PSA to the neutral or cool toned amongst you to try
Before you buy!

DontCallUp · 07/02/2020 13:45

The W7 dupe is identical! Don’t waste your money

PickleMyPepper · 07/02/2020 13:51

@DontCallUp you think? I've tried the W7 one and found that I needed more of the product to get an even finish, whereas I use a minimal amount of the Chanel.

I also found it dried tacky on the face, instead of melting in to the skin.

BigButtons · 07/02/2020 16:10

I have thought about trying this but am also interested in Becca’s backlighting primer. Has anyone tried both?

Baluga · 07/02/2020 16:45

@PickleMyPepper can’t actually wait for it to arrive!

@BigButtons I have the becca backlight primer and love it! I like the one in a purple tube too but the backlighting one really gives a beautiful glow without looking glittery or too shiny. I had a dior one previously but the colour was all wrong on me and made my foundation look weird but would always recommend the becca one, makes a massive difference imo.

BigButtons · 07/02/2020 16:57

@Baluga thanks. Out of the two which would you say was the most versatile?

BigButtons · 07/02/2020 16:57

sorry, just seen you haven't got it yet!

RapidRainbow · 07/02/2020 18:21

W7 version is impossible to find Sad

TheLadyAnneNeville · 05/07/2020 19:26

I’ve used Chanel Soleil Universal Tan (the old version) and didn’t like it much. Have recently bought Physicians Formula Butter Bronze. Very creamy on the brush. Absolutely lovely to wear. A third of the price of the Chanel. Would recommend (over) the Chanel, for me.

BitOfFun · 05/07/2020 19:32

Would some kind soul please give us the instructions on where and how to apply it?

Also, what is it actually for? A facial tanner? A contourer? A highlighter?

lindyloo57 · 05/07/2020 19:41

I got it last week got 10% off in john lewis, it the first time for me, I love it, the best bronzer I have ever used.

Notredamn · 05/07/2020 23:32

I think it's so overrated.
Also, I prefer a powder bronzer as you just dust it over the face to finish and it doesn't mess up all the makeup underneath that you've just applied.

Following

interestingdays · 06/07/2020 00:35

This is even better. I have both and use it daily: www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/product/airbrush-matte-bronzer-medium?&nst=0&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9IX4BRCcARIsAOD2OB2iRb6zN2nvcll5Ksa642PELdK48jcipneo9lv-rTiayG93P3IDtf0aAh0VEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
I'm red headed and pale and use medium

I want to try this, but just to be sure - is it the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream?

This: www.chanel.com/us/makeup/p/185390/les-beiges-healthy-glow-bronzing-cream/

?

trumpisaflump · 06/07/2020 22:53

@NotVera yes that's it. I had read that the original Chanel bronzer had been discontinued and Les Bieges one is the new one. I think it contains more oil than the original but is supposed to be very good.
