Just that, really.
I’ve chosen someone to go it, and her instagram pictures of clients look good, although she hasn’t been qualified that long (about 9 months)
90% sure that I’m going to have it done, so from people who’ve had it - what’s your advice?
My biggest concern is the healing process - I’m scared of having to go out and about afterwards with massive slug brows that are flaky and scabby (although the therapist assured me they shouldn’t be too bad with correct aftercare).

I had mine done last year. Mine were uneven and over plucked in some areas but I filled them in every morning.

I was devastated when I saw them after I had them done. I cried to my mum (who was gleefully trying not to say I told you so) and was ashamed to go in to work as I thought I looked like an angry bird.

Three weeks later I was used to them and they'd healed and settled down. A few months on and it is the best thing I could have done. I had semi perm eyeliner done at same time and between the two most days I only wear CC cream and no other make up. I was in hospital last year and was getting compliments on them from the anesthetist as I was going in to surgery! It just looks really polished but natural and finishes my face in a way I never achieved with make up.

Worth every penny...

Ps I bought some big goggles that suction to the skin and wore those to shower and wash my hair. Worked a treat and I still use them when I have LVL lashes done.

Mine, one year ago. One was higher than the other and shorter and both had bald patches. Wanted them really natural looking (so not powder brows etc) as I don't normally wear make-up. Got a top up booked next month as they're mostly faded away now. Do your research and make sure you love all their work. Get them to draw them first and check you are 100% happy with the shape.

@ReginaGeorgeous thanks!
They haven’t felt sore at all, and seem to be healing fine.
For those who got scabbing, which day did they appear?

@puppymouse I’m not used to mine, but it’s only been 2 days since having them done. I’m going out tonight with a massive group of friends, so will be interesting to hear their comments - bit nervous!

@SmellMySmellbow yours look incredible! The shape is awesome! When I go for my top up, I’m going to ask her to elongate mine slightly, and thicken the arch, as the shape isn’t quite right at the moment.

@puppymouse - what goggles did you go for? I’m looking online but not sure which are big enough to go over the brows

Twiggywinkle13 · 16/02/2020 13:47

I will try and attach a picture here of what mine look like. I was dreading the scabbing but honestly it was only noticeable if you were looking for it and really close to me. I have my top up in 2 weeks and I absolutely adore them. These pics are immediately after I got it done so they aren’t as prominent now, I probably will get them darkened a wee bit from what they are now but I didn’t want to start too dark. I’d absolutely recommend.

@tigerbear don't panic if people are curious or a bit reluctant to compliment. My work team were openly laughing at me when they were first done (not meanly as that sounds, we're all friends) but it soon faded. I wore my glasses to the office as I normally wear contacts so it was something different for people to notice so they focused on that rather than my brows!!

tigerbear · 16/02/2020 14:59

Thanks @puppymouse
Only one person who’s going out tonight knows I’ve had it done. I don’t think the men will notice, but the women will!
@Twiggywinkle13 your brows look amazing!!

@Expletive - I saw those, did they work?

ExpletiveDelighted · 16/02/2020 16:15

I stood with my back to the shower and leant my head backwards to wash my hair with one on, so no direct water running over my face, it was fine. The odd drop of water is fine you just don't want them getting soaked and you definitely don't want to rub them with a towel. I wash my face with a flannel and it felt really odd avoiding the brows.

Thanks
