Best Dry Shampoo??

Okay I am actively trying not to wash my hair so much (post-partum hair loss!), therefore what is the best dry shampoo?

I need something to sort this grease out without leaving the horrible residue some of them have.

Alterna - invisible, does not leave residue at all.

LongDiscoClara · 29/01/2020 18:10

Colab. not chalky at all.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 29/01/2020 18:39

Batiste. Tried loads of others and always go back to it.

withlotsoflove · 29/01/2020 18:51

I find colab really weird. It doesn’t clean my hair at all - nor give it body!?

withlotsoflove · 29/01/2020 18:52

My vote is for Klorane. More expensive- way better in my experience!

withlotsoflove · 29/01/2020 18:52

*but way better. I should have said.

Imonlymoominafterall · 29/01/2020 19:00

Batiste every time (the tropical one)

PaulRobinsonsWoodenLeg · 29/01/2020 19:05

Batiste. I've tried others but they just aren't as good.

duvetaddict · 29/01/2020 19:26

Batiste, but spray it on before bed and it works much better

ExpletiveDelighted · 29/01/2020 19:32

Batiste works but it stinks, I hate the fragrance. The Lush one works pretty well for me. My hairdresser told me you should only use it occasionally though as it's not good for your scalp.

flashbac · 29/01/2020 19:34

Wilko did the best dry shampoo and was super cheap but sadly discontinued Angry

ComeBackPeterComeBackPaul · 29/01/2020 19:35

@duvetaddict - do you leave it in overnight and then brush it out in the morning? Furterer is supposed to be good but more expensive.

mouldygrapes · 29/01/2020 19:37

This is the tits.
I hate batiste www.livingproof.co.uk/buy/perfecthairday-dry-shampoo

Biancadelrioisback · 29/01/2020 19:41

I used to wash my hair every day but now I pop some dry shampoo on after Ive dried it and it lasts an extra day! Buzzing.

I've tried using Lidls own brand, a boots own brand and other cheepy ones, they're crap. Might as well use talc. The bastiste one is the best imo

goodytooshoes · 29/01/2020 19:48

Postpartum hair loss is completely normal and it's only the hair you would naturally have lost during the pregnancy, so whilst it's alarming to see it all coming out, I wouldn't be worrying about it. I've never had good experiences with dry shampoo, it makes my scalp really itch. I supper with alopecia areata so I can understand the alarm at seeing hair falling out. But unless you have bald patches or significant thinning then it's all completely normal and will even itself out in a few months time.

goodytooshoes · 29/01/2020 19:50

*suffer not supper. Blush

chilimartini · 29/01/2020 19:51

Batiste extra volume

Timeandtune · 29/01/2020 19:54

I second Klorane. Not cheap but you don’t need loads and it is very , very effective.

duvetaddict · 29/01/2020 19:58

@ComeBackPeterComeBackPaul I leave it in overnight and it all rubs in, then I brush it like normal in the morning. Sometimes add a bit more in the morning. I used to wash daily and now go up to 3 days.

ComeBackPeterComeBackPaul · 29/01/2020 20:07

@duvetaddict thanks. Will give it a try tonight!

ChanChanChan · 29/01/2020 20:11

Klorane. I've tried numerous other brands and now will only use this.

Batiste stinks and made my scalp itchy.

HobbyIsCodeForDogging · 29/01/2020 20:17

Mouldygrapes is right, Living Proof is waaaayyy better than batiste.

louisethedisease · 29/01/2020 20:28

I've tried lots of different ones and by far my favourite is the batiste ones. I try different fragrances each time, love them all but possibly my favourite one is the cherry. I'm definitely going to try using it at night though as above.

coastergirl · 29/01/2020 20:37

I've tried lots and always gone back to Batiste until recently. Tesco have started selling a Schwarzkopf got2be one and it's brilliant. Smells fresh and does the job for longer than Batiste. It's the one in a lime green can.

tinylittlehat · 29/01/2020 21:05

Klorane, my hair actually looks fresh and soft.

I used to love Batiste til I tried a Klorane sample, couldn't believe how much better it was!
