I am contemplating buying these. I'm 33 so should I steer clear or give them a go? Any suggestions as to how I could style them?

You’re definitely not too old! Wear them with skinny jeans, skirt, dress, anything as long as it’s not patterned.

MrsPMT · 23/01/2020 20:50

Absolutely, I'd wear them at 45 OP (and probably 55 when I get to that age Grin)

ferrier · 23/01/2020 20:52

Would wear them at 90. What's the problem?

MrsPMT · 23/01/2020 20:59

Actually might have to get myself some, they also have zebra print Star

sadsadwoman · 23/01/2020 21:03

Yes absolutely. Why not?

ForestYeti · 23/01/2020 21:05

No such thing as too old in my book you do you & they’re gorgeous

BeNiceToYourSister · 23/01/2020 21:06

I wouldn’t think twice about wearing those (40s). Partly because I don’t believe clothes/shoes have an age limit and partly because they’re the type of trainers half the school mum wear so not a particularly “young” style anyway (I think they’re quite nice though!)

imip · 23/01/2020 21:08

I’m 48 and wear a Clark’s version. I’ve has a leopard skin (faux) fur jacket as a winter coat for the past 6 years. It’s just worn out. I never felt too old!

Itsashame · 23/01/2020 21:12

Ffs you’re 33!!!

thedevilinablackdress · 23/01/2020 21:16

I'm confused. Do you think you're too old or too young for them??

SetTheScene · 23/01/2020 21:20

Do you think you're too old for them?... At 33?

33 is not even remotely old, and certainly nowhere near 'too old' for these shoes.

Although tbh, I reckon I'll still be strolling around in my hi-top Converse's til the day I die!

MrsPMT · 23/01/2020 21:28

Good point @thedevilinablackdress OP do you think you are too young for them?

Rachelfromfriends1 · 23/01/2020 21:54

I think they’re gross. It has nothing to do with your age, just the design. There’s much nicer trainers and (leopard print shoes in general) on the market.

Ploppymoodypants · 23/01/2020 21:55

Yes! I have similar at 40!

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 23/01/2020 22:07

Blimey - everyone and their aunt wear those nowadays

emma6776 · 23/01/2020 22:07

I think they’re quite old fashioned for a 33 year old. I‘m 40 and wouldn’t wear them, but lots of the older mums at school would.

SouthWestmom · 23/01/2020 22:11

No, what are you thinking?
FGS it's utterly ridiculous you'll look like you're trying to be 'down with the kids'.
When will people learn?

Peasinthefreezer · 23/01/2020 22:44

I think you are too young for them, I'm 45 and wouldn't wear them, like Emma6776 said they look quite old fashioned.

Rachelfromfriends1 · 23/01/2020 23:01

I agree with the others about the trainers being old fashioned, I’m in my early 20s and doubt anyone my age would buy those.

Ohyesiam · 23/01/2020 23:07

I thought it was going to be tiny hot pants and a bralet or somethingGrin
These shoes don’t scream youth at me. Asked teenage dd if any of her friends were wearing them , she says no.

Rachelfromfriends1 · 23/01/2020 23:20

These look nicer and cost the same:

superga

There’s also a variety of leopard print Vans and Converse online.

dontgobaconmyheart · 24/01/2020 00:11

Gosh, i'm 32 and consider myself young Confused. If anything I'd find them a bit old for me and would opt for something a bit more on trend. They aren't awful but I wouldnt feel very cool in them.

ambereeree · 24/01/2020 06:42

You're probably a bit young. Honestly OP you're 33! You can wear a thing you like at this age.

Sooverthemill · 24/01/2020 06:44

I'm twice your age and have a pricey pair similar. Wear what you like !

megletthesecond · 24/01/2020 06:45

I was thinking a bit young too.
All the youth I see are wearing clumpy white impractical trainers.
I'm 45 and wear Nike Internationalist.
