Hello having heard lots of great things I have got one of these in the sales in the hope of being free of shaving this summer. Anyone want to share experiences/ tips? Going to pick it up on Wednesday....

What method are people using to remove the hair before treatment? I wonder if this makes any difference to the effectiveness. I did one leg yesterday and got a phone call. When I went back to it I couldnt remeber which leg I had done so I left it. Maybe I will see a difference between the two. This was the legs second go 🙂

... also I'm confused about waxing. It says in the instructions you can wax but how can it kill a root that has been pulled out?

Mortigua · 25/08/2020 09:11

I shave , thought the same on waxing but does say you can.
I can shave less often but then there are patches it hasn’t worked at all still . It’s hard to remember where I’ve done it , I forget too!

I’m wanting to buy a Philips Lumea Advanced. Seen that in Boots it’s £350 and in John Lewis it’s £200. They have different model numbers. Does anyone know the difference between these?

Just fyi i spotted that on amazon it also costs £200 but there is an option to spread payments over 5 months, in case that helps anyone.

No idea about the difference between the models but i only want it for my legs anyway as currently getting laser elsewhere so this model will do the job for me. 👍🏻

Thanks. That’s the same model as the one in John Lewis. I’ve got a John Lewis voucher so I’m tempted...

Hi all, I am thinking of investing in a Lumea Prestige with some Xmas money, I have dark hair, but my skin is still quite tanned from the summer. Will the lumea still work, in your experience? Thanks!
