Can you recommend me a high street foundation?

Or CC cream?

I've been using Armani Luminous silk and Chanel CC cream for several years now, but I feel like I'm constantly dishing out huge amounts of money on product that doesn't last/ I could probably get better in Boots!

Can anyone recommend me anything? I need something slightly Dewey and I'm usually the fairest or second from fairest colour with yellow undertones.

I use nyx cant stop won't stop. I'm blessed with combination skin...I use their angel veil concealer oily areas and hydrating one on my random dry pateches. Lasts the days and blends well.

I like no7 hydraluminous, it's medium coverage and has pretty good staying power on my skin which is oily. I also on a whim picked up a revolution foundation stick, coverage is a good medium and it looks great. It doesn't have great staying power but it's so quick and easy to use, it's brilliant if you're in a rush.

Revlon colourstay foundation is amazing, I’ve used it for years

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 10/01/2020 10:14

Bourjois Healthy Mix

thatsmyumbrella · 10/01/2020 10:17

I would second revlon colourstay I switched from estee louder doublewear last year for similar reasons the price was going up and up and I found it wasn't lasting as long I actually prefer the revlon one now

eggsandsoldiers · 10/01/2020 11:16

Ahh I remember reckon colourstay, I did use that years ago! I just went into Boots but they didn't have my colour so will need to order online.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Hydraluminous for me.

I also rate Maybelline Dream Skin liquid and L'Oreal Pro Glow.

If you want an alternative to a "glowy" one like Luminous Silk I've tried that, and the above 3 are better IMO.

Hazelnutlatteplease · 10/01/2020 14:55

Rimmel. The wake me up for a slightly glowy look otherwise whichever one you can get cheap

RiskIt4Biscuit · 10/01/2020 14:55

Colourstay is good.
I really like Milani Conceal and perfect. I have switched from ELDW to this.

MadamShazam · 10/01/2020 14:56

I really like L'oreal True Match Foundation, with Collection concealer. I usually mix my foundation with my moisturiser for a lighter look 👍

MissPepper8 · 10/01/2020 15:01

Nyx concealer and its still waht I'd consider pricey anyway but I use Estee lauder doublewear for the last year now and I can't live without it now.

Revolution from superdrug have a very good concealer too but I haven't tried their foundation.

emma6776 · 10/01/2020 16:36

I use either bourjois healthy mix or the rejigged maybelline one - think it’s called radiant something or other (it’s replacing dream satin). I don’t find either as good as the armani but they don’t cost me £42 a bottle!

slinkysaluki · 11/01/2020 06:23

Can recommend Perfect Finish foundation by Primark its excellent, good medium coverage, dewy but not greasy finish and great colour match for me (Beige) and very cheap too.

Have been impressed by the foundation, lustre lipstick, nail varnish so far

LadyGuffers · 11/01/2020 06:54

no7 hydraluminous - yep me too

MurrayTheMonk · 11/01/2020 06:56

Hydraluminous here too...bought it when my bobby brown ran out on Christmas Eve and I was only had time to go to local Boots that doesn't carry bigger brands...really pleased with it and will probably stick with it going forwards.

sparkle67 · 11/01/2020 07:12

I'd used Estée Lauder for years! Went on mat leave & tried maybeline fit me & it's literally the same! I use two colours & mix, perfect for oily skin.

KellyHall · 11/01/2020 07:15

Body Shop Minerals, if you like matt foundation. I have quite sensitive skin but it actually seems quite happy after a day of this one. They'll give you sample pots to try before you buy too.

MardyGrass · 11/01/2020 07:30

Very impressed with Hydroluminous here.
Good coverage and feels light and slight glow- try the No7 primer under it .
Previously Chanel - got too cakey as skin aged.
Clinique -Superfit discontinued
Dior Starskin- too heavy and turned orangey as day worn on.

snappycamper · 11/01/2020 07:42

Another vote for hydra luminous here. I've stopped buying high end stuff in favour of this, it's brilliant for my slightly oily skin

TreesRUs · 11/01/2020 08:42

Bourjouis has gone from the UK Sad

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 11/01/2020 09:59

There's loads on line and loads on the shops still.

Fruityb · 11/01/2020 10:03

Bourjois hasn’t gone has it?

Fruityb · 11/01/2020 10:04

Argh just seen it’s going! I really like their stuff - that’s a shame.

VulcanRay · 11/01/2020 10:06

You've picked an awesome time to go back to the high street, a lot of the cheaper brands have really really got their shit together lately.

MissKittyBeaudelais · 11/01/2020 10:16

Max Factor FaceFinity 3-1 Liquid. Tried this. Made my skin poreless and felt like I’d nothing on. Totally touch proof/transfer proof.
