New Year, new thread!!!! Continuing the great work already started!!!

This thread is for those that LOVE beauty products... so much so they hoard them, and covet them and behold the beauty that they contain 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I’ve finished an Impulse body spray today as well, what a coincidence! I’ve had it for ages, it’s called Romantic Spark. I have another in the stash and I have no idea why as I can’t remember buying either of them! As cheap body sprays go, it was really really nice and I would recommend. But I won’t buy again.

Experiment627 · 21/06/2020 10:32

@lockdownalli I love Nivea too - very nostalgic and yummy smelling

I am like Bella - I love vampires and werewolves GrinGrinGrin

I have an empty:

  • Faith in Nature Grapefruit and Orange conditioner: actually my mum's, not great but a nice smell

First of the space nk empties -
Chantecaille Rose do mar cream - nice and light and sinks in well
Dr Dennis Gross Stress rescue super serum
Veneffect Pore minimising cleansed - not sure there’s enough of this to see a difference
Eve Lom cleanser - I’ve had this before and remember it as a white balm, but this one was speckled and had a weird smell, still worked ok

Full size Elemis peptide 4 night recovery cream - oil. Perfectly fine but not outstanding

Sportycustard · 22/06/2020 07:58

Empty sample of clinique facial soap here. Was ok, needs a lot if water to foam. Wouldn't repurchase.

Have realised that I should be using hyaluronic acid, vitamin c and retinol and posted a thread last night looking for suggestions.

Just seen @justilou1 's post so may try the hada labo and the ordinary ascorbic powder (if I can find it in stock anywhere).

Does anyone use a retinol product they would recommend?

justilou1 · 22/06/2020 10:33

@Sportycustard - you could kill two birds and get the Hada Labo retinol range. Supposed to be fabulous. I use tretonoin, but am debating buying HL retinol for decolleté. (Cleavage wrinkles = crinkles?)

justilou1 · 22/06/2020 11:41

Sorry @Sportycustard - I forgot to mention that it still has the super Hyaluronic Acid as well, and the lovely light texture

Caggie09 · 23/06/2020 18:19

Broke my no buy... Body Shop sale had the pumpkin body butter half price. I wouls of repurchased later on in the year anyway. Ill justify it by saying im saving future me so.e moneyHmm Im will try and do no buy through July & Aug..

A tiny pot of Sol De Janeiro coco cabana cream. It smells nice, i do prefer the bum bum one though. It started burning on patches of my skin where eczema usually appears. Strange, because im clear at the mo.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 23/06/2020 20:59

I needed some undies from M&S and may have succumbed to the summer beauty box Blush there are a few products in there like the hair oil I can't wait to try.

Costacoffeeplease · 23/06/2020 21:22

That’s one of the reasons why I got it as I use the no oil oil already 😄

WellTidy · 23/06/2020 23:42

You’re all doing well. No empties to report here unfortunately. Nearly at the end of a body shop Argan oil hand cream as 12yo DS seems to have taken a fancy to it too!

I’ve satisfied my craving to buy something by purchasing a box of Lush goodies for a friend. They’re all no packaging, which she will appreciate as she tries to work on a no waste basis for everything in life. I’m all about the packaging, me.

justilou1 · 24/06/2020 00:55

Why don’t we have pumpkin body butter here? Stupid Australian Body Shop!

Sportycustard · 24/06/2020 07:53

Finished up a mini Clarins foaming cleanser this morning. Not impressed. Felt like a very 'stiff' product that needed lots of water to render it useable. Wouldn't repurchase.

Costacoffeeplease · 24/06/2020 11:13

More space nk empties Natura Bissé diamond eye cream - very expensive but does leave the under eye area smooth
Drunk elephant melting butter cleanser - melted nicely, did the job
Augustinus Bader The Cream, have had this before in an advent calendar, very nice and sinks in well
Full size nip and fab hand cream
Full size neck and décolleté cream, not sure which make as I cut the top off to get the last bit out!
Prai neck and décolleté serum

Experiment627 · 24/06/2020 13:15

So impressed with all the empties!

I have two:

  • Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Boost 15ml: I really did not like the smell but was nice on skin
  • REN V-cense night cream: really not a fan of anything REN I have tried - this is no exception
OP posts:
WellTidy · 24/06/2020 13:29

I'm nonplussed about REN too Experiment. I had a full size primer serum in an advent calendar once and a did nothing, ditto some body creams. I am using their AHA toner than came in the M&S Summer beauty box and it is nice enough to use but I'm not sure it is doing anything at all.

justilou1 · 24/06/2020 18:12

Me to @Experiment627 and @WellTidy re REN. Nothing I couldn’t get at the chemist and pay a lot less for. If I had been armed with better information, would choose cheaper, more effective formulas. Yet another total waste of money because I thought CH knew it all. (Siiigh)

LivingDeadGirlUK · 24/06/2020 18:42

Finished a 50ml Elizabeth Arden eye makeup remover. Did the job fine no complaints. Now using a garnier Micella water from the Amazon calander but its not as good removing my mascara.

Experiment627 · 25/06/2020 10:27

Have gone in for a Boots haul... cos I needed to get some baby wipes for Kwicklet and I love the smell of own brand ones... about to do a Superdrug haul = triple points today!!! There is no hope for me GrinGrinGrin

Another empty! Thought I’d better take the photo before I cut the tube to scrape out what’s left. (Yes, it’s a good one, or I CBA.) Curel Make-up Removing Gel. It’s an oil-based gel cleanser that emulsifies. Like a gel-balm hybrid. Removes EVERYTHING! Doesn’t sting eyes or leave a greasy film that leaves you blind for half an hour. It emulsifies quickly and easily, is scentless and ceramide-rich. Travels well. Would love to buy another, but seems sold out everywhere in Australia. Bastards!

justilou1 · 25/06/2020 13:55

The photo! Btw - will have to buy an oil now, as can’t find a balm I like as much as this.

Clinique day moisturiser used up. Staple for me (although I switch out sometimes with clarins). This was a gift - Dm stocks me and dsis up at Christmas time and birthdays. But I’d revuy

WellTidy · 26/06/2020 08:38

ememem is the Clinique day moisturiser that you like dramatically different please? I have three or four miniatures left over from GWP but I haven’t used them. Something made me think that they don’t work well unless you use them with a Clinique toner from the 1-2-3 steps.

WellTidy · 26/06/2020 08:39

I have three yellow dramatically different and one dramatically different hydrating jelly.

ememem84 · 26/06/2020 09:43

well it’s this one

I bought a couple of the Superdrug Argan Oil tubs BOGOHP for DD
So today I used up the dregs of the old one (for purpose of this thread) and she can start the new one .

I'm very Holy Grail with shampoo (Aveda Shampure 1 litre pump) but I fancied a change and got some Paul Mitchell Awapuh 300ml ....so no empties on the shampoo shelf .
