Could you please tell me what brand you use and why you love it?
I have fine , dry hair and shampoos from boots etc just aren't working anymore.
I feel I need to invest in something better.

Kératase shampoo/conditioner and treatments are usually a good bet to start with. They have products for literally every hair type imaginable.

NecklessMumster · 01/01/2020 15:21

I've had some Percy and Hill which is ok. I want to try Kerastase but confused as my hair is fine, dry, old and coloured!

Nanasueathome · 01/01/2020 15:23

I’ve tried them all
Currently using Bamford, both their shampoo and conditioner and it’s really good
I’m older and my hair is dyed. Often loses condition but the Bamford products have really made a difference

DianaT1969 · 01/01/2020 15:24

I have said this on other threads, but if you dye your hair, you'll see a boost in quality, thickness and texture if you stop dying. Best thing I ever did, and I wish someone had told me earlier.

kittykatkitty · 01/01/2020 15:24

@NecklessMumster I think we have the same hair

I use Olaplex shampoo and conditioner.
It's expensive but lasts for ages. My hair is in so much better condition and shiny. Also use a Olaplex treatment once a month.

CuckooCuckooClock · 01/01/2020 15:25

Aveda pure abundance
Makes my fine straight limp hair light and swishy and smells beaut.
If I use a cheap shampoo and condition I really notice how much more limp my hair looks.

adagio · 01/01/2020 15:26

I use Kms or redken, both great brands and a little goes a long way. I tend to get a good offer from gorgeous shop or look fantastic and I’m not that fussy which formula/brand, So long as it seems a good price - but I do notice my hair is better behaved with the premium products than Pantene/herbal essences etc. I’ve also tried aveda which smells great, shampoo seems good too but the conditioner isn’t enough for me.

BikeRunSki · 01/01/2020 15:27

Wella, from my salon.

Itsabeautifuldaytosavelives123 · 01/01/2020 15:27

Pureology Hydrate. I’ve used it for a whole year and sometimes I don’t realise how good it is until I use a different shampoo. It makes my hair soft and clean feeling

OvalCanvas · 01/01/2020 15:29

The maui moisture range is good , not massively expensive either at £9. I once used Molton Brown shampoo , at £20 per bottle it was really only okay.

LilyJade · 01/01/2020 15:33

I use Nexxus from Boots which is approx £14.99 per bottle.

mrscampbellblackagain · 01/01/2020 15:34

Oribe, it is v expensive but I use it sparingly. I find colouring my hair makes it thicker unlike a previous poster.

jamburglar · 01/01/2020 15:36

Matrix Biolage. You can sometimes get 1L bottles on places like fragrance direct for much cheaper. Got my most recent for £12. Then I use Palmers coconut conditioner, which leaves my hair lovely and soft and is usually on offer in superdrug. Sometimes a small amount of Moroccan hair oil too.

LuluBellaBlue · 01/01/2020 15:38

Everyone has different suggestions! Was hoping for a general consensus Grin

lovemenorca · 01/01/2020 15:39

I’ve tried them all

Kerastese or my current absolute fave... Virtue

Chottie · 01/01/2020 15:39

Philip Kingsley thickening shampoo and conditioner.

rosieposies · 01/01/2020 15:42

Another thumbs up for pureology hyrdrate. Can't use anything else.

Apolloanddaphne · 01/01/2020 15:42

I use a Shu Uemura one that I get from the salon. It's expensive but you only need to use a little so it lasts a long time.

Bluegrasstrail · 01/01/2020 15:43

Kerastase. I buy the giant bottles for about 40 quid and find they last a very long time. Actually works out for me about the same price as the bog standard supermarket brands but the effect is much better. Have tried Redken and Tigi too but wasn't as happy with those.

Shenanagins · 01/01/2020 15:45

Another one for Pureology hydrate, only need a tiny amount and it lasts for ages.

DameDoom · 01/01/2020 15:54

I use Kerastase, Olaplex, Philip Kingsley and Oribe. They are expensive but, as has been said, last forever. I have tried to economise by using high street brands in the past but they do not work for my fine, flyaway hair.

Foreverblowingbubbles1 · 01/01/2020 16:09

I love biolage by matrix, smells absolutely beautiful and always leaves my hair shiney and soft, however I also love the elvive in the teal colour, it really makes a difference, can usually get both shampoo and conditioner for £4! It really adds thickness and body to my limp hair.

lovemenorca · 01/01/2020 16:22

@Bluegrasstrail. Where do you buy the big bottles from? Thanks

Gigia · 01/01/2020 16:26

Olaplex has really improved the condition of my hair. As already said expensive but lasts ages.
