Could you please tell me what brand you use and why you love it?
I have fine , dry hair and shampoos from boots etc just aren't working anymore.
I feel I need to invest in something better.

@kittykatkitty I was coming to recommend the Extreme range by Redken. I'm currently using their Ultra Soft but I do prefer the Extreme. I find it helps my hair hang properly - I have fine, wavy, processed hair. Good choice. I hope it works well for you.

Aveda Cherry and almond. X

SunshineAngel · 02/01/2020 11:38

I love the banana shampoo and conditioner (and occasionally hair mask) from Body Shop. My hair isn't particularly problematic, but can sometimes get a bit dry. After a good treatment with this stuff every fortnight or so (normal, cheapish shampoo the rest of the time) it's nice and glossy and soft again :). Best thing is, you only need a really small about of Body Shop stuff to make a big difference, so it lasts ages!

candycane22 · 02/01/2020 11:40

I have fine hair and love tigi rockstar. (You can sometimes get it cheap at TK Maxx and TJ Hughs)

pontiouspilates · 02/01/2020 11:46

Another Aveda devotee! The products smell amazing and make such a difference to my hair.

cleaning247 · 02/01/2020 12:22

Pureology serious colour care. Buy it on amazon not from salons.

Coniferhedge · 02/01/2020 12:37

I’m another who uses Redken Extreme after being recommended it on here. I have very fine, flyaway hair that breaks easily (my own fault - I bleach it platinum blonde). There does seem to have been a marked improvement since using the shampoo, conditioner and anti-snap serum. I buy them from lookfantastic.

mencken · 02/01/2020 12:41

have to say that knowing how fraudulent the beauty 'industry' is, I was very sceptical. But the Wella Enrich shampoo and Fusion conditioner really do the job, I notice when I try to economise with the high street stuff. You only need a tiny amount, just as well given the cost.

They are sold as 'volumising', which is the last thing I need, I have heavily straightened hair to get rid of my horrible ageing ugly curls. Fortunately that is a lie and it doesn't seem to make the bulk any worse.

Hollachica · 02/01/2020 12:41

Living Proof Volume Boost. I notice the difference if I have run out. Leaves my hair noticeably thicker. I have had a cold and noticed the difference in my air, so have started vitamins and collagen - things we do!

Lollykins · 02/01/2020 12:43

My advice would be to try products that are sulphate and silicone free rather than focusing on the price point. I found Maui moisture and Faith and Nature sensitive shampoo infinitely better than some much more expensive brands. I have a sensitive scalp and had greasy roots but products without SLS dont irritate it and the above let me go 2-3 days without needing to wash it.
Good luck with your search!

Deathraystare · 02/01/2020 13:25

I have said this on other threads, but if you dye your hair, you'll see a boost in quality, thickness and texture if you stop dying

Fair enough Diana but some of us well me) do not want to go grey!

Deathraystare · 02/01/2020 13:28

I've looked up the Redken extreme - it is in a mauve bottle - it it just the bottle that colour or one of those mauve colour shampoo for bleached hair which I do not have.

Thedevilofsmallthings · 02/01/2020 16:26

Mine isn't coloured at all and is as fine and as thin as can be. Wish it was as simple as just stopping colouring it.

Bloomburger · 02/01/2020 16:37

Innoluxe like Olaplex but better.

Muminabun · 02/01/2020 16:41

Aveda is so lovely and lasts for ages and gives you an aromatherapy treatment as well because it all smells gorgeous.

Standinguptononsense · 02/01/2020 16:59

@lotusbell sorry only just seen this. Yes would definitely recommend. My hair was similar to how you describe and mine is so much better since using it xx

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/01/2020 17:08

Aveda Shampure (about £50/litre but I got a 20% off M&S)
Love the smell, leaves my hair clean and not coated

Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner" leave in

Aveda Daily Hair Repair ( it was in the Advent but I didn't buy that)

polyhymnia · 02/01/2020 17:44

Like a PP, my current favourite is Virtue - I use the volumising one. Also like Aveda and Kerastase - the Densifique one.

Dubya · 02/01/2020 17:54

I use Tigi Recharge, not overly expensive as you can get 2 huge bottles for about £11, but I find that they remove any product or oily residue from the roots whilst leaving the rest of your hair in excellent condition as well. I use Mane Club hair masks occasionally, they are absolutely incredible but expensive to use a lot, so normally I use the banana body shop hair mask once a week which helps to keep it in good condition. If money was no object I really like Aveda.

slipperyeel · 02/01/2020 18:19

Aveda

VanGoghsDog · 02/01/2020 18:35

I like this one, though it's not really expensive as such. It does seem to help thicken my hair. I also use the leave in spray conditioner they do, or argan oil.

www.lookfantastic.com/joico-body-luxe-volumizing-elixir-200ml/10793060.html

I also have Deciem HIF, the one with the peptides, can't remember the name. I do like that a lot though it's a bit hard to use and costs a lot per ml. Plus they don't always have it in stock.

lotusbell · 02/01/2020 18:51

@Standinguptononsense, thanks for that. Money now parted with!

HappyHarlot · 02/01/2020 18:56

@kittykatkitty
I use the cherry one too atm, love the smell and texture. Gives my hair a good shine too.

MrsDilligaf · 02/01/2020 18:59

I use Aveda Shampure. It makes a real difference to my hair. it smells fab, and lasts for ages.
