If you are 5ft where do you buy your jeans from without having to get them altered?

All 4 pairs my husband got me for Christmas don't fit

Like Skinny, cropped or ankle grazer - from M and s and from White stuff. Have bought Next petite in the past.

@Oblomov20 I could have written this too. I'm like a size 4 around the waist but the hips on me are more in line with a 6 or an 8 so nothing fits properly which is why I end up in dresses or yoga pants which aren't always practical. I also can't find shorts

New Look petite.

I'm 5 foot 1 and get almost all my jeans from Boden (8P). I a,so get boyfriend jeans from Hush and have them shortened by local seamstress who charges £3.. other wise it's J Crew or banana republic who do short leg lengths

If you can, learn how to shorten jeans on a sewing machine whilst preserving the hem - no one will ever know! If you find this a bit tricky or annoying, perhaps a local dry cleaner will do it for you, but obviously you will have to pay. My DH does this and has never looked back (I did do a pair of jeans for him once, but I got them caught in the zipper foot and ruined the effect!).

I'm 4'11 and buy my jeans from M&S (Lily short length) and Top Shop (either Jamie or Orson).
Most cropped length trousers fit me as a full length but M&S Lily is my favourite at the moment.

Next petite.

I don't wear jeans, but all the trousers I wear are gap cropped or petite. I'm 5'0" and they're perfect length. I have the same issue with waist a 6, hips a 8/10... I just tend to wear belts tbh.

Have you tried River Island? I'm 5ft 2" and I'm browsing they're petite jeans range, lots of straight leg or mom style too.

You really need to know your inside leg measurement, rather than just your height.

For the past few years I've stuck to Gap ankle length jeans or girlfriend jeans. They're the only ones I've found that I like that fit.

I've also bought from Topshop in the past, but I'm too old for that place now.

The 'Little people' section as DH calls it in Next and M&S are good length wise for me (5'2 though), or Gap Ankle length. When my waist size was the same as yours I just shopped in the kids sections. H&M 14+ size was perfect, I also went to TKMaxx a lot and they'd often have small waist sizes, sometimes with ridiculous leg lengths like 32 but for a pair of Diesel or Hilfiger jeans I'd just get them taken up and they'd last ages.

I get them altered. Easier than scouring the shops!

I buy Levis 28 leg length, or cropped jeans which are generally full length on me.
