How many items of clothing do you have ?

I think I am pretty minimalist with everything In general ,! I love good quality clothes and would rather have less than loads of cheaper items . My actual wardrobe space is pretty small anyway though . I’ve got about 55 items in my wardrobe and a few old joggers , jumpers and jeans in a drawer for dog walking etc not including shoes , bags or pyjamas .
Being nosey here , how much stuff do you own ?

I'll tell you in a few days when i do my laundry and its all clean.

1x 23kg suitcase, plus winter coat, interview suit, evening dress and a pair of walking boots.
Buying lots of jumpers right now!

Too much, I need a good sort and clear out. If you're including shoes then probably a few hundred items in total.

Funnily enough I was having a little audit recently as I am also trying to be more minimalistic.

4 x jeans
1 x pinafore
2 x dungarees
15 - 20 x tops and tshirts
6 x dresses
3 x skirts
1 x cropped trousers
4 x jumpers
2 x cardis
2 x jackets
3 x coats

So approximately 50 I think.

Shoes it's:

Sandals x 1
Flip flops x 1
Shoes x 4
Boots x 3

This is after an enormous clear out. I have sold a lot on ebay and given a lot away. The really dead stuff is off to the textiles recycling bin.

The amount isn,t relevant really. I mean I have a dry suit for Kayaking, but don,t wear it much. I also have a wet suit. They have uses and so I keep them. I have a wedding dress too. which was worn once. So how many clothes one has is irrelevant if they are not the "right" clothes.

Too much. I’m making a concerted effort not to buy anymore & utilise what I’ve got.

Oh my goodness, too many. I’d say probably around 400 items not including coats/shoes etc.

Too many. Way way too many. If I could make up a collective word for it it would’ve An ‘embarrassment of clothes’ . I’m not counting. I don’t think I even could. I have clothes everywhere

AFTER a recent clearout, I'd say I've about

30-40 jeans/trousers,
40 skirts
30 dresses
50 t -shirts
40 - tops/light jumpers
30 - sweaters
15 - shirts/blouses
30 coats/jackets

I've just counted up my wardrobes and there are approx 120 pieces!

I have loads but none of it goes together how does that happen

I have about 5 outfits I wear all the time and the rest I feel I should hang onto in case I need it. I'm actually getting to the stage of thinking a personal shopper would be a good idea as I might not get it wrong so often!

A lot, so much in fact I'm selling some! However I only wear the same outfits... around 4 outfits! Same shoes etc even though I have so many! I'm 5 months postpartum so my body's changed plus I spend any spare money on her... she looks immaculate & I look a mess 😂

An entire medium-sized bedroom full in one house (I use it as a walk-in wardrobe), plus a lot of boxes and suitcases in the attic. Two large wardrobes in another house, plus a chest of drawers full.

I'm still not happy. I need more storage space for clothes. I need it, I tell you. I do ...

Oh yes ... and sometimes I still think that I have nothing to wear ...

Not as many as many women but more than I need. A large percentage of my wardrobe is from charity shops plus a few bits from eBay. Saves me money & helps the environment / charity. I make a conscious effort to avoid buying “fast fashion” as much as possible.

So although I have more clothes than I need I don’t feel overly guilty about it.
Clothes I have finished with also go to charity or get passed on.

Also realise I’m lucky to have access to decent charity shops and not everyone has that option.

I have lost a significant amount of weight this year so hardly have any clothes at present.

I think about 45 items not including shoes and underwear, we haven't bought a wardrobe since we moved over a year and a half ago and after having a too full clothes rail for a while i donated a lot of the things I wasn't wearing.
Apart from a couple of dresses all the clothes I have are things I wear a lot now and I have a 1 in 1 out rule unless there's a specific occasion like a wedding to go to which I don't own anything for.

Not as bad as I thought 😂

A ridiculous amount, in the 100’s I need to buy less I don’t wear 1/10th of what I own. I’m a bit obsessed with clothes

I’m away from home for 3 months.
It’s surprising finding out how much I need - in reality, not much.
Due to suitcase living I have :

3 bottoms
4 tops
2 thermals
3 coats
3 footwear items

And 5 winter accessories.

It’s liberating.
