Victoria’s Secret Sizing Help for DD12

Hello! I’m going to buy a few Victoria’s Secret bits for DD12 this Christmas. She’s 5’ 2” and normally wears age 12-14 H&M, 12-13 at New Look 915 and Gap girls jeans in age 14.

Any ideas which size VS to get? I was thinking Small but have no idea if their sizes tend to run big or small.

I tend to get to get XS and am size 4-6 if that's any help whatsoever so maybe M?

The VS were the same size .

But in saying that i don't know the sizing of H&M

@caringiscreepy That's just it, I don't know how to translate age 12-14 into adult sizes. It's just knickers and sportswear I'm going for, she doesn't need a bra yet

Last time I went into the shop and bought a crop top style thing the assistant said a medium was roughly a 10-12 or up to a 34d so I would go with Xs.

If you look at H&M it will also have a size guide. Compare the two.

From what I found VS were tiny sizing because it seemed like a large chunk of their market is for teens. I'd guess an extra small or a small.

I looked at some of their crop tops for sport and although I'm a small (8-10) most places, I ended up being too big for a large in their crop tops. I can't comment on their bottoms though.

As an aside, is Victoria's Secret sportswear a "thing" for 12 year old girls? DD is 13 and it's all about Adidas.

@SoupDragon She loves Adidas/Nike/etc too, I was just browsing the VS Pink website and there are a few things I know she'd like.

Why not buy her some from somewhere that sell children's sizes.

Perhaps I'm a bit prudish but I can't imagine buying my preteen girls underwear from a shop that promotes itself as having the 'sexiest bras, panties and lingerie'

I suppose at a push if she's wanting more grown up knickers instead of 'children's' patterns that's one thing? But Victoria Secret?

The teenagers seem to like Pink, which is a VS brand.
Dd bought something in there and they took her to a VS till to pay (shops usually attached) a d she was mortified to get a VS bag because “everyone would think she had bought sexy knickers “

Please don't get hung up on my thread title! I'm not buying her sexy lingerie, I'm talking about a few pairs of boy shorts and a T shirt from the Pink brand which I see loads of girls wearing.

An abstract discussion about sizing in a shop known for appealing to secondary ages teens/pre teens is hardly some sort of seedy chat.

Dd is a size 6 and wears Xs. She loves the loungewear from Pink.

I clearly should have stipulated VS Pink in my thread title!
