Hello Hush experts!

Hope you don’t mind me asking a quick question regarding sizing.
I am hankering after Hush Gloria dress from JL but absolutely no idea about sizing (apart from reading somewhere that it comes up big)
I am size 8 but busty (32F) and not sure whether to go for size 8 or 10?
I am ordering online as no time to go to JL this week!
Can anyone advise?

Sooverthemill · 26/11/2019 21:53

I've only had kne one dress and I'm bust 34D and found the size 10 ginormous. I think others buy them more regularly and can advise

grannycake · 27/11/2019 08:42

OpenMindedSceptic I'm a size 8 normally with a 30DD bust. I buy a 6 or an XS in Hush because as a PP said the sizes come up large

Talisin · 27/11/2019 10:23

@OpenMindedSceptic I would say stick to an 8. I’m a similar bust size and have never had to go up in Hush dresses, sometimes I’ve gone down a size but in that style I would go for my actual size.

OpenMindedSceptic · 27/11/2019 10:41

Great, thank you all, will order size 8!

Sooverthemill · 27/11/2019 14:02

@OpenMindedSceptic and report back!

Laska2Meryls · 27/11/2019 16:29

hum hum hum hum..
I wonder if they will have a code soon.....?

FuzzyPuffling · 27/11/2019 17:05

Hello, I made it onto a thread!

Ellapaella · 27/11/2019 17:27

If they wait too long to give a code we will have spent all our money elsewhere! Hurry up Hush!
I might, just might be tempted by the Fifi bag.....
Also got my eye on the star hair clip.

I think I need some lessons in shopping, haven’t bought anything for months apart from a cashmere jumper from Tesco’s ordered two summer dresses from French connection & T-shirts from Oliver Bonas did manage to remember its winter & added a bargain v neck jumper for £15.00 😳

Sooverthemill · 27/11/2019 17:58

@dontcallmelen but that's sensible, as long as you remember them next year!

I've had a total fail and spent a fortune recently ( jumpers from baukjen, Boden, warehouse and mango) 2 pairs of trousers from Baukjen, trainers and jeans ( from eBay each less than £15 but still) and today a pair of shoes I had forgotten I had ordered arrived! Gorgeous sale bargain from atterley but I do not need them so almost as soon as I opened them I requested a return before I could try them on. There are a few bits I would love from most of the retailers we all love but I'm going to delete my debit card from my phone and iPad now and keep it upstairs to stop me impulse buying! I really need to save some money ...

Ninkanink · 27/11/2019 18:05

@dontcallmelen seems like a great way to shop! I must say I’m much happier when I’m not a slave to the constant ‘must-have’ mentality. Obviously I’d happily indulge myself if I literally had endless pots of money, but until such a time I think trying to keep a sense of balance works better for me.

I have my eye on a couple of things but I’m not going to go all out just for the sake of it.

FuzzyPuffling · 27/11/2019 18:11

Recently I have bought two pairs of sort-of-cord leggings from M&S and a summer dress from Seasalt. (love them all though)
Not exactly a big spender, me.

dontcallmelen · 27/11/2019 18:36

Ooh maybe I’m not so flaky after all😂 me either fuzzy I’ve spent £50.00 since July polishes 😇 I do actually need some jumpers but such a lot of the really nice ones are ££ & have some wool content which I can’t wear as I would be mainlining antihistamines, can wear merino or cashmere but not wool mohair or alpaca.

FuzzyPuffling · 27/11/2019 19:04

I've given up on jumpers...they all make me itchy and have to be hand washed. I wear hoodies most of the time now. I have perfected the "hoodie over dress" combo. (Prepares to be hurled off S&B)

dontcallmelen · 27/11/2019 19:17

Oooh fuzzy I think you may have started a new trend, just remembered I have a really nice pink hoody that I got in the mint velvet sale last year < hot foots it upstairs & rifles through cupboards>

FuzzyPuffling · 27/11/2019 19:53

Yay...len join me on the "no jumpers needed" bench!

dontcallmelen · 27/11/2019 19:55

Budge up fuzzy 😂

Laska2Meryls · 27/11/2019 19:59

Fuzzy I ve also bought some of those sort of cord leggings, dark green and a burgundy/aubergine colour, they are really nice aren't they. ?
I wore my TU sparkle leggings to work today!( It was my last day so thought that I needed something a bit not work gear ) ...

FuzzyPuffling · 27/11/2019 20:21

laska I've gone for black and the dark green (which I love). Thinking of getting other colours..what's the aubergine like?

Hands up if you have to go to work tomorrow. Not you laska!!

Sooverthemill · 27/11/2019 21:28

@FuzzyPuffling I'm similar and super sensitive to types of wool but I can wear merino wool . Most of jumpers are cotton or an acrylic mix. I don't think you can tell? And the ones I knit are cotton or linen

Laska2Meryls · 28/11/2019 05:23

I have the black ones from last yearfuzzy , the aubergine ( they call it dark grape, I realised) are a deep burgundy, really nice colour. Ive gone for the long this year as they are supposed 'ankle grazers' ( Im not that long inthe leg but found the regular just too short.. dont want gaps over my ankle boots ! ..M&S have become fond of this length it seems. I bought some per una jeans a while ago, but they seemed to have shrink upwards when washed and have now been relegated to garden jeans already (v. annoying).

Laska2Meryls · 28/11/2019 06:33

Hush have 25% off on preview if you are signed in, but not on everything .....A really disappointing offer I reckon .. But you can see what will be going in the sale though !

Sadly none of the things I might have gone for are there , no leather jackets and not the glitter star biker sweat I liked either , nor the copper glitter top or any cashmere stuff.. Dress offer is a bit meh too..
You know I think Hush are losing it these days a bit

Ellapaella · 28/11/2019 07:37

Nothing tempting me so far. Bit disappointing really.

Sooverthemill · 28/11/2019 07:43

They aren't discounting anything that's selling fast I guess they can predict what isn't going to sell so well. Mildly tempted by utility chinos but probably not enough to buy. The 2 jumpers I loved aren't in the sale
