It looks great on you!

Yeah...I remember now that there’s a good reason I fell off the threads for a while...so many things to love 😍😍😍

Talisin · 30/01/2020 13:16

Nice jacket, @Sooverthemill Smile Slightly envious of everyone getting the Battersea boots but I have a pair of (very cheap) extremely similar ones that I hardly wear. Also, they’re out of stock in my size, luckily. Grin I have succumbed to the Whitby boots however and my brand new Friends delivery appears to have vanished. Any other Friends lost it or have I been relegated again?

Sooverthemill · 30/01/2020 13:32

@talisin I love those boots! Good buy. Sorry, I still have my friends delivery

Talisin · 30/01/2020 13:49

So strange. Hush giveth and Hush taketh away...

Countmeout · 30/01/2020 14:04

Jacket looks great @Sooverthemill 8 definitely the right choice

DishwasherJan · 30/01/2020 14:12

Sooverthemill · 30/01/2020 14:25

@Dishwasher I can't read that but were there good bargains? Did you buy anything?

DishwasherJan · 30/01/2020 16:32

Oh sugar, any better now?

Yeah bought way too much 😳 Some good bargains to be had. Got a few marina skirts because I wear them a lot.

There were loads of the leather jackets in blush! They were £100 so not much cheaper than the site! And loads of lace dresses and shirt dresses in loud patterns that felt a bit cheap. I do love a rummage though 😍 Wonder how many mumsnetters were there.

@Dishwasher looks good! I went last year and got some fab bargains, going again this year ...you do need to rummage though it was all in plastic crates last time and mixed up size wise. Were there many jumpers? Thanks Smile

DishwasherJan · 30/01/2020 16:59

Oh ffs is it upside down. Sorry. It’s right way up on my phone.

There were a lot of knitted jumpers at £20, including Stella star (is that still popular?) and rainbow ones. only saw one sweatshirt though, they were only £10 so maybe they were all in peoples bags?

DishwasherJan · 30/01/2020 17:01

Also do look in all sections as theres usually nice stuff that’s been misfiled so you get first look at it. And I got some nice leggings which were labelled XL but definitely a S! So if you like something then bag it to try on. Didn’t see any other leggings at all, only one leather bag, no fur coats 😞

whiskyremorse · 30/01/2020 19:18

@Dishwasher sounds fab, looking forward to Saturday and hope you all leave me some clothes lol

ilovebrie8 · 30/01/2020 22:32

@Dishwasher thanks 😊 for the update! Can’t wait for Saturday ...it is jumbled you need to have a search and the check sizes!

Ninkanink · 31/01/2020 12:55

Eeeek my batteries boots are on their way!! So excited, love unusual colours in footwear. Can I ask @Ellapaella is the colour on their website a true representation?

Ninkanink · 31/01/2020 12:56

Sigh. This autocorrect drives me nuts! You know what I mean............

puptent · 31/01/2020 15:09

I am also just back from the jumble sale. I think for a successful visit you have to have quite a lot of stamina and perhaps an idea of what you're looking for. There are rails of coats and jackets and some dresses but the boxes are a free for all, really. They are optimistically labelled with size and garment, but the contents don't match.

There were a few overwhelmed shoppers, ('not feeling it') I overheard. And some very determined women stripping off and trying on by the rails.

The price list is small typeface (no individual labels) but staff are v helpful at checkout. I was half 'feeling it' so I got a stripy boyfriend jumper (20 quid, was 60 I think) a sweatshirt (10 quid) and a few accessories.

They give you a plastic shopping sack to go round with and a big plastic bag at the end (I think so they can see who has bought).

Sooverthemill · 31/01/2020 17:10

Just seen this on a blog

"the Hush sale is ending next week and there will be an extra 10% off everything (in the sale) from Sunday to Tuesday with code EXTRA10."

Ellapaella · 31/01/2020 18:07

Yes I think so @Ninkanink - have a look at my pic a bit further down the thread for a better idea.

My Battersea snakeskin boots came, unfortunately too big on me they are beautiful leather though so would recommend them as they felt really soft & I would imagine be very comfortable boo hoo my stupid feet, onyx coming today just hoping this fits🤞🏻

Sooverthemill · 01/02/2020 09:56

@dontcallemelen what a shame! Someone else will love them though.

whiskyremorse · 01/02/2020 15:26

Stayed at the sample sale until the bitter end where everything is discounted further so worth the wait. I will list my haul later or tomorrow as have the 4 hour drive home ahead. Spent £160 but that includes 2 pairs of shoes and 2 carrier bags of clothes!

RiskIt4Biscuit · 01/02/2020 15:49

I went this morning, and bought two dresses - a Kensington shirt dress in red with bird print (£20), and a white Camellia dress (£5).

I found it quite overwhelming as most clothes were in big plastic tubs to rummage around in. It was supposed to organised by size and type of clothes, but it was a bit of a mess today.
Also so many items where faulty or damaged, which was a shame.

But I’m really pleased about what I got, especially the red dress.

ilovebrie8 · 01/02/2020 16:52

I went today it was a real jumble everything muddled you had to sift through each plastic box as sizes are all mixed up. I noticed a lot of the knitwear had holes or pulls so you need to check. I don't think it was as good as last year’s sale.

I got a Stella star jumper £20, Charlene twist dress £20, Venice beach dress £15, a pyjama top for £5 and the Artesia skinny scarf for £5...I tried to be sensible but some people had a few bags of stuff 😊

Tried to find some Aimi joggers to no avail...chatted to a few staff think best of it hosted on the first day which is by invitation.

FuzzyPuffling · 01/02/2020 16:58

riskIt I am very envious of a red Kensington for £20. Lovely!

ilovebrie8 · 01/02/2020 17:19

@whiskyremorse look forward to hearing what you got ...
