Are these shoes frumpy?

I’ve got a Christmas party and have bought these shoes-I can’t wear heels that are too high and I want to be able to walk and dance Blush

Just wanted some opinions on whether these shoes are pretty or frumpy?

Are these shoes frumpy?

Not frumpy at all. I cant do hardly any heel now i wouldn't last in them x

dudsville · 30/10/2019 20:49

Those heels are high if you doubt normally wear heels!

FavouriteSoul · 30/10/2019 20:50

Definitely pretty. I don't know if I could dance in them - I go a bit wobbly on thin heels. Grin Then again that could be the gin Gin

EdWinchester · 30/10/2019 20:51

Well, they're not very stylish, but not frumpy either.

IPokeBadgers · 30/10/2019 20:53

Pretty timeless and versatile.....if you will manage the heels. I know I wouldn't but then I'm a dead loss when it comes to anything remotely resembling stylish footwear 😁

Ginfordinner · 30/10/2019 20:53

What does a stylish shoe look like to you EdWinchester?

ShirleyPhallus · 30/10/2019 20:55

They’re not frumpy but they’re very 2004 and if you don’t ever wear heels I don’t think they’d be comfy

Sexnotgender · 30/10/2019 20:55

They’re ok, a bit old fashioned but not offensive.

Moominfan · 30/10/2019 20:57

I'd probably go for a thicker cone heel, I'm all for comfort will not suffer for fashion

Ziraphale · 30/10/2019 20:57

Not frumpy.

Expressedways · 30/10/2019 20:57

Meh not frumpy but I do think they look a bit dated and they definitely do not look comfortable.

HundredMilesAnHour · 30/10/2019 21:05

Well, they're not very stylish, but not frumpy either.

Agree with this. They're very bland. You won't win prizes for your superb style but you won't offend anyone either.

They look quite hard though (are they plastic or leather?) as in not very comfy.

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 30/10/2019 21:14

They are ok-but look like something I wore years ago and still have in the back of my cupboard. And agree that they don’t look comfortable enough to dance in all night.

GreyHare · 30/10/2019 21:59

They are ok, if you are not great in heels then maybe try something with more of a block heel something like these as they are plain but will be so much more comfy and easier to walk in.

StarlightLady · 31/10/2019 05:38

OP, Not frumpy, but I’m confused. You say you can’t wear heels, but these have quite a heel. Have you posted the right picture?

I would struggle in these.

CunningOperative · 31/10/2019 06:12

She is not saying she can't wear heels, she's saying she can’t wear heels that are too high

JoanBonJovi · 31/10/2019 06:25

Funny colour for winter

BeatriceTheBeast · 31/10/2019 07:12

I'm not keen on those, but they aren't awful.

I also think the heel would be too high for me, but I almost never wear heels anyway.

Daffodil2018 · 31/10/2019 07:23

I also think they're quite high if you don't normally wear heels. They look good though, I don't think they're frumpy at all!

If you want something comfortable I'd probably go for a wedge or more of a kitten heel. You might also find round toes or open toes more comfortable. Only wear open toes if you're prepared to go tights-less though!

Lauren83 · 31/10/2019 07:39

Like PP said a bit dated and look a bit 'mother of the bride' to me, I also don't think they will be comfortable or easy to walk in

HelleborusNiger · 31/10/2019 07:48

Perhaps a bit Good Housekeeping?

fantasmasgoria1 · 31/10/2019 07:49

Not exactly frumpy but as someone said a bit mother of the bride. But I have never been a fan of nude shade shoes!

Booksandwine80 · 31/10/2019 07:59

@Daffodil2018

That’s my issue, I have a lovely pair of gold open toes strappy sandals but think I’m going to need tights Grin

Those saying “it’s a funny colour” my dress is navy, so I thought gold was a good choice Confused

I’ve just bought these if you’re after nude shoes
