Hit me with the best dress for 40th dinner

My 40th birthday next month-dinner with friends in very naice London restaurant. Want to look amazing (better than my size 14/16 body-busty with too much of a mum run) diet in progress but half a stone is probably all I will manage...
Hit me with your amazing dress options. Happy with up to £500 for a killer dress.
Planning on going shopping for said dress and will provide live updates but will have restricted time so want to narrow down which shops I should hit first...

I like the last one best too but would wear different shoes to add a bit of colour.

I liked the gold obe once you pulled it tighter but I love the black one, can you get some statement shoes though.

The black shoes look fine with that dress .

It's much better than the gold and blue ones, but personally I think it looks a bit 'bare' for November.

I'd wear it with a leather jacket and heeled ankle boots. I don't like those shoes with it - they are a bit dull.

I'm way over invested in this thread and now spending all my spare time online looking at dresses

Or nude strapped sandals .... boots would make your legs look short.

Disagree that boots would shorten legs. I think that sheer black tights and high heeled ankle boots could actually make legs appear longer because OK has such lovely slim legs. And it would funk the dress up a bit.
