Where can I buy children's clothes in my size???

Sort of joking, but I love my DD's wardrobe. She is a very stylish 4yo, I must say Smile.
I love all the bright colours, comfy swing dresses in sustainable, natural fibres, cosy wool tights, fun printed leggings, jumper dresses and dungarees

Does anyone make these things for grown women? When I go into shops in my home town, (which I have to admit is not the best place to shop, so maybe I'm missing out on something obvious), it's all tailoring, pointy shoes and Fat Face.

I know dungarees are everywhere, but I really wish there was a shop which just sold children's clothes in adult sizes.

Thinking about it, men's and boys' clothes seem to be mainly interchangeable apart from the size 🤔.

Does anywhere do something like this for women? Smile.

Also Carolina Dress Room do brilliant leggings in cool prints.

I love purplish.co.uk for their dresses and jumpers

Shedhoots you are my kinda woman! Another vote for Gudrun Sjoden here (it’s also quite an ethical company), and for Lucy and Yak dungas too. I’m not tall, though, so am wary of the wilder coloured ones lest I look too much like a toddler! Grin

Craftycorvid · 11/10/2019 17:56

Sorry, Sheshoots I do not know how I confined you to a shed there!

MariahDontCarey · 11/10/2019 18:04

😂😂😂 shed hoots! At least it's a fun shed.

I noticed on H&M online that they have a matching mother/daughter/family range, so maybe there? I am five foot 6 and size 8 and easily fit into age 15 at Next.

Joe Browns have stuff that I think you might like

MariahDontCarey · 11/10/2019 19:07

On the Next website they actually tell you in their size guide that an age 16 is the same as an adult size 12! Amazing. If that's correct, I might become their new best customer Wink.

Thanks for the Joe Brown suggestion too. I'll check it out.

Oh and mountain warehouse, bright colours, the age 13 fits ladies 6/8

ThisIsTheThirdTime · 11/10/2019 19:36

Round here it would be the "Hippy" shops that sell those kinds of clothes Smile

MikeUniformMike · 11/10/2019 19:43

Toast might have tunic type things, but probably not little girl colours.
You could have clothes made. Some japanese clothes like Yoshiko Tsukiori.

MariahDontCarey · 11/10/2019 21:42

I've just ordered the Lucy & Yak dungarees

There's a random shop in Brighton that seems to specialise in 'children's style for grown ups'. No idea what it's called or where you'd find it, I just stumbled upon it while I was there! Grin

Iwww.marimekko.com/gb_en/clothing/dresses

Pricey but worth looking out for on the sale or EBay.

CottonSock · 12/10/2019 08:33

I was going to say mountain warehouse aswell. A shop assistant told me the kids large sizes are up to adult. Got my girls some nice glittery rainbow sweaters .
