Plus size what are you wearing today

Hi guys,
I love browsing the what are you wearing today thread but being plussize (Size 26) I often can't take inspiration from it. I wondered if any other size 18+ would like to share what they are wearing today?

I'm loving all the photos .. and I feel very boring I always wear leggings or jeggings with long tops and I know I'm doing myself no favours, but don't have a clue about what looks good and very limited funds. I've been wearing grey for the past five years and thanks to you all here I'm trying to introduce a bit of colour . Part of the problem is in my head I'm still size 12, but in reality I'm now size 16 with 36g tits! So when I see myself I'm always disappointed.

Anyway I've treated myself to some black snag tights, I'm going to try and find some colourful jumpers and tops. I'm a big fan of above knee length pull on thick jersey skirts with thick tights, but unsure what tops or jumpers to wear with them [shamelessly hoping for suggestions and links]

pickle, you do have a teeny waist in your wedding dress! I don't think I've ever been like that, even as a teenager. You look very Maid Marion there; in a good way!

I too am large of nork. Also a G cup. It's not always fun finding clothes to go over them!

Snag tights are fab. Bet they'll look amazing with Jersey skirts. I'm a big fan of v necks. I'm wearing one from Gap, which I really like. I also love boyfriend cardigans (i have one from Next, via eBay) over long vest tops from M&S. I find them really flattering.

I’m a 36G too but I have a waist so still feel shapely ( I don’t always dress to best advantage ). I’m wearing a men’s cashmere sweater I bought for £5 in a charity shop today over a snakeprint skirt and vans. Psychologically going up to a size 16 feels worse than going down to a 16. It’s the lack of mojo that’s an outfit killer not your boobs.

Thanks Nancy. Is it a Gap top that's still in the stores? I literally have no idea what sort of top/jumper would go with a jersey skirt.

I used to wear long cardigans over vest tops with jeans, but they seem to accentuate every lump and bump and my spare tyre these days, so I haven't worn them as much recently. Also can't be doing with uncomfortable jeans digging into me.

I stick to v necks or low scoop necks mostly.

It's this one adollop, which doesn't seem to have many sizes left in stock. But they do have the same one on other colours on there, so you might find they have more sizes available in the other colours.

I bet you look way better than you think adollop. I can't wear a vest top on its own with jeans, but a looser fitting cardi over the top seems to work. Also, with skirts, I seem to be able to get away with tighter tops. I think it's because I'm quite long between my belly button and gusset (lovely 😂). Jeans don't sit quite right on my waist.

Also, recently, I've realised that high waist is not better on my shape. Totally against my instincts to hold my tummy in, I recently bought mid rise jeans and they are a revelation. So much better than high for me. If we are similar shapes, it might be worth a go?

Thanks Nancy, that's a lovely sweater. Sadly I can't wear wool, which is often a problem .. I find something I like the look of and then it's got wool content.

I think I'm quite high waisted, does that seem similar? I've always struggled with dresses, they never seem to sit right, same with jeans, yes, they're usually too tight around the waist or pull at the crotch

I also like a loose fitting collar less shirt if you can find one! I have one from M&S and it's one of my favourite items of clothing.

I loved the Roman Baths and rinsed the free entry for students policy. I think that sounds so lovely, having a wedding ceremony there. It's magical!

I really want a nice jumper dress to wear with my Snag tights! I've been checking eBay but no cigar . Sorely tempted to look in Oliver Bonas when I get home...

Cos have got nice jumper dresses but I think I would just be too hot. I did look at a lovely green knee length one to wear over trousers / skirts but it was £80 so I gave it a pass. Saying that I have a long cashmere sweater from Jaeger I spent £100 ten years ago ( in the sale) so these are the purchases that tend to stand the test of time.

Oh that's lovely divebar! If it was a teeny bit shorter and maybe navy or teal another colour, I'd definitely go for it.
