Opinions on these boots please... just can't decide!

I love love love the style of these Joe Browns boots but I'm just not sure of the 'crackle' effect! If they were black I'd be snapping them up in a heartbeat but can't decide if the weird effect makes them naff? But they're so cheap in the sale that I can't help thinking they're worth a punt...or are they really horrible?!

I like the style, but the finish/colour reminds me of the people who dress up as statues in the street.

Sorry but I agree with Bananas, they look like they've been spray painted if you know what I mean?

I have those boots from last year so I’m definitely biased in their favour I can tell you that the black metallic description is more accurate than the photo makes it look - they’re more a dark grey gunmetal finish than silver, the ‘crackle’ effect really doesn’t bother me or look weird and they are incredibly light and comfortable to wear. I got mine in a sale too but nowhere near as bargainous as they are now so I’m jealous!

Hmm we'll, pretty unanimous apart from @Talisin and @Paraballa. Kind of swaying towards getting them after Talisin's first hand experience (any chance of a real life pic of them please?) but not sure.

Unless you're planning on wearing them in Covent Garden.....then meh.

They are horrendous but only in my opinion of course.

I’d take a punt on them - you can always return.

They’re not to my personal liking but there are ways to wear them and look pretty good I think. The crackle effect will likely be toned down IRL through being balanced by what you’re wearing. Unless you’re partial to metallic tops, sequins, studs and lots of metal hardware...

I love them ! Tempted to order but not sure if I would need a 7 or 8

@itsaldramarama I’m a 7.5 with quite wide feet and I have the 8 if that helps. From previous experience I find Joe Browns footware tends to come up slightly small.
