Lovely autumn colour but I'm not sure I like the tucked in top and the trousers leave me cold.

DevonUkelele · 09/10/2019 11:16

Oh the pants trousers - my eyes! What about those gorgeous wide-legged ones she wore with her back-to-front mauvy blouse a few months ago? They would have looked amazing.

I do love that berry/burgundy shade though. And it's nice on Kate.

Agree also re the likely difficult-ness of the Spanish royal ladies 😉.

BertrandRussell · 09/10/2019 11:17

Now that is a truly nasty outfit...

itswinetime · 09/10/2019 11:18

Trousers and top separate are probably fine although I'm not sure what you could put the trousers with maybe a floaty blouse??? Top is a lovey colour on Kate. But together and tucked in oh no! Not a look to repeat FYI Kate Wink

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 11:19

Oh I love that green colour, and it’s a perfect autumnal pairing! I don’t find the length unflattering at all, I think it’s nicer than the very long length which can look a bit Trinny and Susannah, and also sometimes looks out of proportion on her because she is so slim. They’d also look great cropped a bit higher, though (but I know that’s not a universally loved style).

I think it’s a lovely outfit.

AdaColeman · 09/10/2019 11:26

Not keen on Kate's outfit today, the trousers are completely the wrong shape for her, but I like the berry colour on her, and her hair is fab!

Liz and Camilla will be at Westminster Abbey next Tuesday (15th) for a celebratory service, it's a little while since we've seen Camilla on these threads.

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 11:27

I love her bag. That’s another one to go on the wish list!

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/10/2019 11:31

I love those Tods pumps of hers, such a gorgeous colour. The autumnal shades suit her but I'm not sure I'd have put those particular two pieces together. Maybe Louis was sick on the trousers she intended to wear and she had to change at the last minute!

The Jigsaw trousers are still available
They are just so unflattering.

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 11:37

Ohh I want them, I really think they’re cool! Hopefully most people will be of this thread’s general opinion so far meaning that they’ll keep being reduced until I can get them at a real bargain price! Smile

BertrandRussell · 09/10/2019 11:38

I do wish she’d either get her hair cut or put/tie it up......

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 11:40

Yes she’s worn it down every time now for quite a while, hasn’t she. She could have at least put it up in one of her perfect pony tails, just for a little variety.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/10/2019 11:43

I don’t think the culottes will be around for long @Nikaninus
As soon as the replikates wake up in the US; they’ll be gone

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/10/2019 11:45

Kate's hair is her "thing" though!

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 11:45

Oh those damn replikates!

Ah well, I’ll live.

BertrandRussell · 09/10/2019 11:53

Well, I think she is too old for “down hair”.

paradyning · 09/10/2019 11:54

Love all the burgundy thing! The shoes and bag are gorgeous!
I shall not comment on the trousers, nor their colour.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/10/2019 11:59

A bit more about Kate’s Chanel bag
It’s from her Paris trip in 2017

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 12:03

I actually would have worn navy shoes with that outfit. I don’t like too much matchy matcy and IMO if you have already have two instances of one colour, you need to add another, unless you’re doing tonal dressing. But she still did perfectly well (opinions on styling aside), it’s a good, well put together look.

I don’t think she’s too old for long hair, but I do think she is prone to getting set in her ways lookswise and a bit of a change can do so much good in terms of refreshing one’s look. I’d like see her in a modern lob, or maybe something like this!

Her Chanel dress was gorgeous

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 12:05

Oh you said too old for down hair. I know what you mean. I like it left long and swishy on some occasions, I mean she does have gorgeous hair...but I agree, she could make more of it in other ways too - an updo looks so sophisticated, elegant and regal.

justasking111 · 09/10/2019 12:05

Princess Anne stuck with her long hair. It is so easy to put up when the need arises, looks good with a tiara. This thing about being too old for long hair I thought was a long gone prejudice.

paradyning · 09/10/2019 12:06

One of her sleek ponytails would have looked fab with that outfit.

AudacityOfHope · 09/10/2019 12:09

How can you be too old to have your hair down? C'mon, seriously?

BertrandRussell · 09/10/2019 12:09

Sorry- “down hair” is what my dd used to call it. As opposed to “hair hup”....._
