Anyone use it? What do/did you think of it?

Not me. It’s rubbish.

Sr skincare is in the same budget but is great stuff.

You can message them for advice

It's hugely popular at great price point with short effective ingredient, what's not to love...

ParadiseLaundry · 28/09/2019 00:06

I love it, it's completely changed my skin. I love the Lactic Acid, Niacinamide and Vitamin C with Alpha Arbutin.

nitgel · 28/09/2019 00:09

Have used retinol don't think it's had much effect

RonaldMcDonald · 28/09/2019 02:27

Find the hyluronic acid pills under anything else
Love the niacinamide and the argan oil

minesagin37 · 28/09/2019 02:44

I use lots of their products and love the serums. In fact going to order some more right now. Thanks 😩

JMAngel1 · 28/09/2019 06:02

Lactic acid 10% serum has transformed my skin. Marula oil has massively reduced crepiness under my eyes and Alpha Lipoic Acid serum is some kind of magic in a bottle.
There is an undeserving backlash against TO because of what happened to Brandon - the products speak for themselves and what he did was groundbreaking that many other companies are now copying.

MustardScreams · 28/09/2019 06:07

I love it, seems it works for some and not for others.

My skin was appalling before I started using it. Huge pores, hormonal spots, redness, dry and oily. Just grim.

I use the plant squalene oil to remove makeup, and then a rice water wash. Every 3 days in the evening I use the Alpha Lipoic Acid, and the vitamin c in between.

Mornings is niacinamide serum, the hyaluronic acid and the caffeine eye solution. My skin has never looked better!

dudsville · 28/09/2019 07:33

I also love TO.

linentowel · 28/09/2019 07:43

I’ve just started in the last 2 weeks so only use, HA, Buffet and Rose Hip Oil. Happy to try more products but once my skin is used to this lot.

jenniuol · 28/09/2019 07:54

I wanted to love the ordinary so badly, I know so many people who swear by it but it did absolutely nothing for my skin 😔

EmpressJewel · 28/09/2019 08:16

I use the hyalauronic acid, buffet and moisturiser and my skin is the best it had ever been.

I think the website isn't user friendly and this had put me off, but I popped into a store and it was all straight forward.

pontiouspilates · 28/09/2019 08:19

I really like Buffet and the foundation suits my skin and gives good coverage.

HisBetterHalf · 28/09/2019 08:20

Think it depends upon your skin type and condition. There are some great products in The Ordinary range and so cheap too

nixso29 · 28/09/2019 08:22

I swear by it all. Use HA, Ascorbyl Glucoside and Niacinimide in the AM and in the PM Glycolic Acid toner and Retinol in Squalene. Also AHA/BHA peel x2 per week. The difference in my skin is phenomenal

fernandoanddenise · 28/09/2019 08:41

I swear by it. The retinols have transformed my skin and the AHA/BHA peel every couple of weeks makes a huge an immediate difference . Big fan.

Crazycrazylady · 28/09/2019 08:53

I've heard great things and want to starting using these products.

My skin is generally dry with some fine lines in my forehead. What products would
People recommend?

ParadiseLaundry · 28/09/2019 09:17

@Crazycrazylady it sounds like you would really benefit from the retinol. They do it in low strengths so it's great for a beginner. Maybe twice a week to start with. Buffet is good too, you could use it on nights you're not using the retinol

ParadiseLaundry · 28/09/2019 09:18

Oh and the Lactic Acid 5%. I find that glycolic acid dries me out a bit but the LA has hyaluronic acid in too

Elllllle · 28/09/2019 09:26

My skin generally cant handle vit A products but the granactive retinoid 2% is magic. If I use this every night, my skin is so clear.

FelicityFlutterby · 28/09/2019 09:33

I use it and I love it. I swear I don't work for them, but I am not exaggerating when I say it has totally transformed my skin.

I have rosacea and have to be really careful what I put on my skin, which means that if I want to treat my rosacea I have to sort of neglect the rest of my skin. But with the ordinary I can do both.

I use Niacinamide and Zinc, then Alpha Arbutin in the mornings. I used to also use Azelaic Acid, but think it's actually unnecessary, so I've stopped. The N&Z has improved the texture of my skin and it breaks down keratin I think, which reduces chance of acne (rosacea is a type of acne). The Alpha Arbutin lightens / brightens my skin so reduces the redness. I believe it does do this as I have noticed an improvement.

In the evenings, I use 'buffet' and then retinoid emulsion, followed by moisturiser.

My rosace triggers are hormones, oily or highly perfumed skin products, red wine and emotional stress. These things will always trigger my rosacea and some are unavoidable, (hormones and stress), but I have found that since using the ordinary, I can get it under control a lot more quickly. Maybe it's a placebo effect with the rosacea as stress is one of my 'triggers', but I really cant argue with the texture and condition of my skin overall, even forgetting about the rosacea. If they ever go bust I'll be gutted!

FelicityFlutterby · 28/09/2019 09:33

Oh yes, I also use the glycolic acid in the evenings.

Solihooley · 28/09/2019 09:40

I’ve been wanting to try this for ages, but can’t work out what goes with what. Did everyone just do a bit of trial and error? Is it worth going to a house of Fraser for advice (they seem to be the only places that stock them round here). I’m thinking of the rosehip oil and the N&Z. Think I have combination skin. Prone to dryness but also hormonal spots.

2weeksholiday · 28/09/2019 09:45

Solihooley I would recommend trying one product at a time for a few weeks before introducing a new one. It's so tempting to buy them all, but it's worth seeing which one works for you. Hyaluronic acid was a game changer for me. I have combination skin and used to get dry patches on my cheeks sometimes. I would spend a fortune on Elemis, Espa etc products and they didn't help. This £5/6 bottle changed my skin for the better

Solihooley · 28/09/2019 09:53

Thanks. That’s good advice. My skin sounds similar.i night give that a try 1st.
