What bag to wear with knee high leather brown boots?

Usually have across body bags as need my hands free with young kids. Currently using a Kipling black one but doesn’t look right with the new boots I’ve just bought. Plus it’s far from waterproof which I found out the other day! 😫
What colours go with brown leather? Needs to be fairly neutral as I’m not one for changing bags daily so I’d like it to go with most outfits.
Also fairly cheap as I’ve been spending too much and need to seriously rein it in.

Tan goes with everything. If I only had one bag it would be tan! Red would look great with brown as well but you probably wouldn't get as much wear out of it.

Tan is the obvious choice. Olive, chocolate, burgundy, cherry, navy,, ox blood, mustard yellow, rust - these all go well with my wardrobe and also fit nicely with the style of my boots. But it does depend on what you tend to wear. What colour is your winter coat?

Yes Tan, or Navy perhaps. I’m loving burgundy at the moment.

🙈 oh god, don’t get me started on coats.
I have a ‘smart’ knee length funnel black coat, a navy super dry parka, a khaki parka, and I’ve just bought the ‘taylor’ coat from fat face in berry and the ‘lauren’ jacket in navy.
My day to day style is definitely relaxed... hence the Kipling cross body bag.
Would tan actually go with brown? (I know it’s a shade of brown but still)

Truth be told I personally probably wouldn’t go for tan, just because it is a little too obvious. I’ve got a bag from Toast which they called Olive but it’s really more of a very earthy olive green cum brown. It goes well with all the colours in my wardrobe and never looks too matchy matchy, which I don’t like.

For you, and looking at the colours of your outerwear, I think I’d go for navy or chocolate brown. Or a mix, like they do at Fairfax and favour:

The bag will probably be a bit too small for your needs, but I like the colour way.

But it depends - If you like the look of matching coat and bag then obviously navy would work, but if you don’t then it really wouldn’t.

A nice saddle bag would look great with the boots. Trying to remember where I’ve seen one...

I have the same boots and very comfortable. I bought them 2years ago and still looks new. My hand bag is black and brown long belts which looks really nice together
