Saw a pic of Kate Moss in bootcut jeans today

I won’t post a Daily Fail link but she looks effortlessly gorgeous in bootcut jeans, a plain black top and a black scarf. How does she do it? When I try, I look like I’m taking the bins out!

Yes they are!!! This is my go to look this autumn too. Have been stocking up on black jumpers and jeans but wear mine with tan lower heeled boots.

They are so much more flattering than skinnies- yay!!!

I’ve never deviated from bootcut! Hate the skinny jean trend - doesn’t suit my shape at all. The only shops that sell (decent) bootcut is Next and Debenhams (Jasper Conrad).

I've been in straight-leg and out of skinnies for a couple of years now, but I'm definitely investing in a pair of bootcuts for Winter.

Whenever I try them on I acquire the thighs of a catwalk model.
Despite that, I'm not quite ready to go back to them yet: a bit too flappy and I never quite managed to make them work with flats. Plus I prefer wide legs. But I'm sure they'll be back at some point.

Oh happy days, I tried a pair of old boot cuts I found lurking in the back of the wardrobe and they are so flattering! And I'm out tomorrow night! And I've got a new 70s ish top from h&m. Truly the planets are in alignment this week.

They're awful, too long and just wouldn't be flattering on most people. Each to their own but I'll be sticking to skinnies.

I found some fab bootcuts last year from Gap called long and lean. They are roomy on the thigh with a little bit of stretch

Kate Moss looks good in them with her slim thighs and her funky very high platform boots, but with flats and trainers on normal legs - it will look just like you stepped out of the millenium.

Gap Long & Lean were the best. I still have a pair. I'd have kept more but they were ridiculously low waisted.

I wouldn't wear them with trainers, they need a heel.

Kate's look more flared in the lower leg than the traditional boot cut jeans. She looks good in them with those heels, I don't think they would be so flattering with flat shoes or trainers.

She looks great in anything, but I agree, high heels is a must! I just bought a pair of black skinny high waist Rag and Bone jeans in TK today and feel very skinny (I'm a size 12). So guess jeans are very individual and it's what you are comfortable and feel good in that's count.

So many other style of jeans to choose from now than just skinnies. Boyfriend, girlfriend, tapered leg, barrel leg, ankle grazers, Mom jeans. It's not like bootcut are the only alternative to skinny.

Oooo I wonder if I can squeeze into my Kate moss for topshop bootlegs...

A boot that high helps, even KM

Being very TDWP they look a bit different to the original shape - looser at bottom

Skinny has been on the back burner for a while for other styles although not out completely

I'm not going back to soaking water up to my knees.
