Course you can!

If we let a bit of overhang stop us we'd ever do anything- but you look fab!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 22/09/2019 17:22

Tis fine :)

bellajay · 22/09/2019 17:22

I think you look great x

Gustavo1 · 22/09/2019 17:23

If course you can. It’s black with black! How could you not be supposed to wear it! Have fun!!

Paddingtonthebear · 22/09/2019 17:23

Black jeans and a black top?

Can’t see a problem here Confused

RedElephants · 22/09/2019 17:23

I'm 53 I do wear all black and skinny jeans Grin

louderthan1 · 22/09/2019 17:24

It looks great! I like your boots!

Schwibble · 22/09/2019 17:25

Of course you can, and you have great legs btw!

Mabelface · 22/09/2019 17:25

I hate that term, so ageist. You look good and wear whatever the fuck you want at any age.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/09/2019 17:26

Just tell her your sack cloth and ashes are at the dry cleaners. Cheeky wee bism.

But I dare you to turn up at next parents evening dressed like Mrs Merton complete with a grey wig.

hoochymamgu · 22/09/2019 17:27

You look great, go for it Grin

houselikeashed · 22/09/2019 17:28

Thanks all, it was the skinny jeans she had a problem with! Tough. MN says yes so I feel better now! Thanks all!

Looks fine

MN hates the mutton phrase though so watch yourself ;)

BishopFrownofStThigh · 22/09/2019 17:30

Enjoy!

Etino · 22/09/2019 17:30

To be honest @houselikeashed, I do have some style advice...
Never listen to the teenage Taliban!
You look great!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/09/2019 17:30

I live in skinny jeans and I’m about the same age. Why should i change - it’s not like I’m trotting around in daisy dukes and a boob tube (I’ll wait until I’m at least 70 for that).

TheOliphantintheRoom · 22/09/2019 17:31

Try not to use the hideous "mutton dressed as lamb" phrase - it's demeaning towards women.

ErrolTheDragon · 22/09/2019 17:33

Why wouldn't you wear skinny jeans, you've got great legs. Confused

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/09/2019 17:33

As my mum used to say ‘I may be 70 but I’m not dressing like an old lady’.

Charley50 · 22/09/2019 17:34

What they said..!

NotMeNoNo · 22/09/2019 17:36
  1. Don't listen to your teenager on matters of fashion
  1. There is officially no such thing as age limits on clothes. Take it from someone else who is nearly 50.
TheRobinIsBobbingAlong · 22/09/2019 17:40

If I had nice legs like yours OP then I'd live in skinny jeans so go for it I say

BogglesGoggles · 22/09/2019 17:42

Skinny jeans aren’t a teenager thing anymore.

goldface · 22/09/2019 17:43

You have fabulous legs, those jeans look great x
Plus what everyone has said about it not mattering how old your are, wear what you like!

Herja · 22/09/2019 17:43

Definitely not mutton. My 79 year old grandma has black skinny jeans. I would consider them a staple, rather than debatable, wardrobe choice.

I am also very concious of baby overhang. You look fine! Black is very fogiving on that shitey overhang bit.
