As always, let's critique the clothes and not the wearers.

come on you cannot instruct someone to get engaged just to take the heat off elsewhere.

Ninkaninus · 26/09/2019 12:52

Yeah I really don’t believe that’s how it works.

StartupRepair · 26/09/2019 12:58

Don't know if Bea was the OW but he did have a fiance before and has a toddler so the timeframes seem condensed if not overlapping.

DevonUkelele · 26/09/2019 13:04

I don't know about anyone else, but I have never suggested an engagement might have been delayed.

It's just the announcement that might be timed.

C'mon - people get engaged when they want, as they do, of course they do. But they can be engaged for an hour, a day, a week or a month (or even longer) before it's public knowledge.

And, if you might potentially get married at Westminster abbey or Windsor castle (or an number of HM's churches I can't name at the moment) because you are 9th or less in line to the throne, then it's an up-in-lights announcement.

justasking111 · 26/09/2019 13:07

The media have been so horrid about british royals getting married here, costs of security, waste of time and money. I reckon they will choose Italy where the proposal took place. Added to that Fergie was checking out locations there last month for some good reason.

Ninkaninus · 26/09/2019 13:08

That true, that’s perfectly possible, and also quite reasonable IMO.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 26/09/2019 13:23

It's always possible that they don't WANT too much attention and are happy to share the limelight with other royals.

I think it might be another Windsor wedding to allow HM to attend.

ElspethFlashman · 26/09/2019 13:31

Pretty sure she wasn't the OW. When they met he seemed to have full custody of the child.

TokyoSushi · 26/09/2019 13:36

Pictures on twitter of Wiliam & Kate at the Boaty McBoatface launch, Kate in a blue coat dress that I'm sure I've seen before. She looks lovely but more formal than I expected that she might be today.

I also read (on E! online - high quality source!) that Meghan has given a big bag of Archie's grown out of clothes to the mothers with HIV charity that she visited. I think she's doing really well on this trip.

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/09/2019 13:44

Isn't this Kate's "Mary Poppins" coat that she wore earlier this year? If not then it's very similar!

Actually no it isn't, this is the coat she wore previously.

Both awful imo

paradyning · 26/09/2019 13:54

The cut of the first one is better though. And does suit someone of Kate's physique.

rollNsausage · 26/09/2019 13:58

Beatrice's dress is gorgeous. Where is it from?

She looks so happy and I'm pleased for her. I felt so bad that her ex strung her along.

I'm a bit confused about her fiance though. They must have gotten together when his little boy was a baby and I am sure I read that his ex only found out they had broken up when news emerged of him dating Beatrice? Also where does it confirm he has full custody?

I think Beatrice will have a British wedding similar to Eugenie's but maybe a different venue.

BertrandRussell · 26/09/2019 14:01

Those powder blue things are horrible! Is the first one Emilia Wicksteed? I never like anything by her!

Ninkaninus · 26/09/2019 14:04

The one with the cape is Burberry, if I remember correctly.

Ninkaninus · 26/09/2019 14:05

Or Mulberry?

Oh never mind, I can’t remember!

QueenOfTheAndals · 26/09/2019 14:06

@BertrandRussell It's McQueen and apparently a rewear. The one with the cape is indeed Mulberry.

Bea's dress is Zimmerman apparently

paradyning · 26/09/2019 14:33

Would love to see what shoes Bea is wearing.

Elllllle · 26/09/2019 14:36

Ugh! Posted before I finished/edited. Esotropia not endotopia. Surgery gives good results. But a lot of babies have this and it resolves itself without interference

Elllllle · 26/09/2019 14:39

Did my other post disappear anyway? I give up!

Elllllle · 26/09/2019 14:41

Zimmerman PR must have the royals on speed dial since the KM broiderie dress

PersephoneThePony · 26/09/2019 14:45

Love the Zimmerman dress! She looks amazing and very happy.
