Tour itinerary

As always, let's critique the clothes and not the wearers.

When my DS2 was the same age as Archie I asked our GP about the fact that just occasionally his left eye didn't seem to move in alignment with his right eye. The Dr told me at the time that the muscles in a baby's eyes can develop at different rates in the early months and that it would settle down which it did. I should say I have no medical training so I've no idea how true that is!

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 25/09/2019 16:50

i wondered that too - i had it in both eyes

UrsulaPandress · 25/09/2019 16:50

Does look like a squint. He’ll have to wear those NHS glasses with a sticking plaster over one eye.

whitershadeofpale · 25/09/2019 16:51

Not quite a squint @BertrandRussell more like it turns in, kind of like a lazy eye. It did make me wonder if that may explain some of the pictures we've seen before being a bit limited or with his face a bit obscured.

UrsulaPandress · 25/09/2019 16:52

Is a squint not the same thing as a lazy eye?

Rachelover60 · 25/09/2019 16:53

Not a full blown squint but a very slight cast in his eye which may correct itself. They are not unattractive actually.

He's a lovely baby and the Duchess looked great in that navy blue jump suit.

whitershadeofpale · 25/09/2019 16:58

I've just looked it up and it seems like there's subtle differences but in terms of how they look, they're all quite similar.

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 25/09/2019 17:16

I love the shots of her getting on the floor with the kids.

isitspringyet · 25/09/2019 17:18

Is the jumpsuit from Hush? Looks similar to one I bought last year

hopeishere · 25/09/2019 17:22

Love both outfits today. She's definitely reigned in the labels and still looks amazing!!

BertrandRussell · 25/09/2019 17:28

She wore this sort of outfit to informal things in the U.K. too. There hasn’t been a posh frock event on this tour, so why would she wear one?

Gooseysgirl · 25/09/2019 17:32

The jumpsuit is 'Everlane' more info on the Elle website. I think she looks stunning!

peridito · 25/09/2019 17:53

Great anecdote Bertrand I know a teacher who I could imagine doing that .

Love the jumpsuit .Think the shoes look fine but I'm not stylish in any way and not qualified to judge TBH.

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 25/09/2019 17:53

My first child had a similar turn in one eye. Had to be patched for a few hours every day. I was told that they could operate on it when DC1 is older if the patching didn’t sort it out but patching worked. They are still monitoring it though and I’ve noticed it is still a little obvious when DC1 is tired.

Was Louise’s eye operated on? We were told DC1 would have to be around 12 years old.

paradyning · 25/09/2019 18:00

Absolutely loving her looks today! Love how the dress moves and the underslip.
Thebearrings look fab with the jumpsuit.
Love little Archie! So cute!

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/09/2019 18:04

Did she wear much high-end designer stuff on the Oz trip? I remember the ODLR evening gown and a few others but I thought that was mostly at formal events.

Rachelover60 · 25/09/2019 18:04

Yes, Lady Louise did have an operation but her squint was quite pronounced.

I agree with you paradyning about Meghan's outfit and her gorgeous son.

Horsemad · 25/09/2019 18:17

Lovely outfits today & Archie is utterly gorgeous. 🙂

Spudlet · 25/09/2019 18:18

I think her outfits have been really well planned for this trip - she seems to have been really well-briefed on what she’ll be up to and has clothes that let her crack on (thinking of the sitting on the floor / getting down to play today, the way her dress moved so nicely when she was dancing and so on). I mean they (the Royals generally) are pretty good at this as a rule, but it seems to have gone especially well for Meghan this trip so far.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 25/09/2019 18:18

I think loads of couples look alike

Doesn't always work that way, @Doyoureallyneedtoask. I know lots of tiny women with really tall partners. As though they are trying to rebalance the gene pool!

MoreProseccoNow · 25/09/2019 18:49

Apparently, Archie is wearing H&M dungarees (according to the H&M page on Facebook).

queenofarles · 25/09/2019 18:49

Like the jumpsuit , not so much the black and white dress, for a moment thought she had cycling shorts under the dress too, perhaps a tribute to Diana’s cycling shorts trend !
Baby Is beyond adorable, happy and smiley.

paradyning · 25/09/2019 19:25

Was the cycling shorts Diana!? Didn't realise that. I always think of Big Fun and Yazz!

QueenOfTheAndals · 25/09/2019 19:28

Oh yes @paradyning!

queenofarles · 25/09/2019 19:50

come on paradyning! Paris Vogue Dedicated a whole story about them.

Also polka dots are Diana’s.
